We are a Scottish club, we are the figurehead of Scottish football after our national team.

Accept this is where our history was made and concentrate on doing the best we can in our home league and if beating Barcelona or giving them an incredible game every now and then is not good enough then * me I'm lost.

I enjoy seeing us develop players or bring in guys that have talent but need re-invented. Sutton for example.

Players who aspire to be the best they can all the while knowing the club is bigger than the player.

    * off to England? Watch the mercenaries of world football chase the £££ with their inflated ego's.

I really couldn't find myself enjoying that, regardless of how talented they are.

Celtic means so much more than that, and being involved in that money first - football second environment will tarnish everything we stand for.

Season ticket prices rocketing, match tickets out of reach for the working class. Tumbleweed atmosphere with a full stadium.

Nah. I'll accept what we are and where we are.

We have an identity and it's worth far more than selling it to the English.

I personally don't give a * about Scotland, England, Ireland or whatever.

I'm a Celtic fan, for footballing reasons, and I have been all of my life, along with all of my family.

I don't particularly care about Scottish football, or the national team, or English football as a whole. I care about one thing - Celtic Football Club, and I want what's best for them.

Would you not enjoy it much more if we could keep them and further our team? That's exactly the reason Lennon left. We're a completely stagnant club at the moment.

Are you saying we don't have that sort of atmosphere at the moment?

And that comment is one of the most close minded, ridiculous things I have ever seen on any forum ever. We wouldn't be selling anything. We'd be improving and progressing the club and moving forward.

Spot on. Going * nowhere in this * league, losing all our best players within a year and a half to pishy wee clubs in England because we can only offer 20 grand a week and we play in a wee pishy league. * depressing.

If the chance to join the epl ever happened we should jump at it, and we would regardless of what some of the supporters wanted, the board will be desperate to get out of scotland. Scottish football is dead.

We'd be representing Celtic in Europe. Not England. Not Scotland. Just Celtic. Like we always have done.

Interesting the many have been on overdrive on the Independence thread for the the last year yet some others would by the same token like us to toddle off down there to play football....I'd expect that type of logic from a Sevco No voting character but not one of ours.

I would love to see the thread after Lawell announces the season ticket prices for our debut season in the EPL.....I think we all know the type of reactions we can expect to that potential bombshell

Shaktar Donetsk have won every Ukrainian title going back a few years now...let's invite them into this multinational EPL fantasy while we are at it.

The point made about reform in the CL is far more credible for clubs like Celtic with more automatic entries for champions at the expense of 2nd place English/Spanish/Italian/German teams who will have to qualify through the play offs

in your mind YES but officially and in the rest of Europes eyes we will be representing England.

You can't have your cake and eat it mate....in addition it would be farcical.....a bit like Southampton taking Scotland's place in the Europa League

    Nah not really.

The EPL is league on steroids at the moment, a false economy it won't last, can't say when but everything has to boil over at somepoint.

Prefer the thought of a European type league system.

I dont think we are currently representing Scotland in Europe and I really don't think most Celtic fans and the Celtic players and staff do either. PSG don't 'represent' France and Real don't 'represent' Spain.

    Each club to their own.
