Exactly. This and the fact that our main income would be TV money, not fans.

You don´t understand. It wouldn´t matter whether we stood for it or not; they wouldn´t need us anymore.

    You're right, I don't understand.

It will be the same supporters that travelled hours to go and support Celtic in Dingwall last weekend that will travel hours to go and support Celtic in England. And as I said, they'll take the same song book and expressions of politics with them.

    * no. The club i love would become as soulless as Man U and there is nothing you could do about it. Prices going up, 70% tourists attending the games who know nothing about the songbook, or most importantly the culture. Would we develop in to a world class footballing side? Yes, most likely but the clubs soul would be long gone.

Who? The English league? If that's what you're saying, then that's a different discussion. I don't think they 'need' Celtic either. Which is why I think Celtic should force the hand. The precedent set at the last Olympic Games and the political mandate on the back of the Scottish referendum result would only add weight to Celtic's argument.

The current PLC are already trying to do it! Since Celtic's inception various actors within the Scottish game and society at large have attempted to 'crush the political element of the support', and yet the response on every occasion (just like it was at Dingwall on Saturday) has been to give the proverbial two fingers and not to accept it. That won't change if Celtic played in an English or British league either.

If we move to the EPL, the stewards can't put tape over our mouths. In fact, I think that there would be many more IRA songs being sung if we faced British teams, especially if we played them away.

See the video of our fans heckling British police at the Emirates.

The board. Desmond. They won't need us. We will be powerless to stop them doing whatever they want (and what they want is a Glasgow version of Man Utd).

They don't need us now either! The current PLC have tried their damnedest to silence the support in the current status quo.

And yet, as I said, the Celtic support, as they did on Saturday, and have done so throughout the club's history, stuck the proverbial two fingers up at those who want them silenced. The same would happen if/when Celtic played in an English or British set-up.

They try their damnedest, I agree. The reason that they haven't yet succeeded is that they do in fact need us and wet their pants every time ST renewal comes around.

I think you're maybe underestimating the Celtic support. I don't they'd meekly accept what you're suggesting. We'll go and support Celtic the way we always have, whether Lawwell, the SFA, the Scottish Government, or English football fans like it or not- the support that travelled to Dingwall, only last weekend, is testament to that.

We've got that problem just now. Some people don't bother going to Parkhead unless Celtic are playing another European big boy on a Champions League night, and yet those atmospheres are still better than the alternative.

    Don't understand pursue it how?

They don't need us, they are doing fine without us...

Why would English Clubs want a big club vying for their status.?

There's a lot of big clubs languishing in the Championship too!

We need to forget it as it will never happen..

Our league will improve when Hibs, Hearts and the Huns return..:97:
