Reminds me a lot of Gary hooper, raw, direct, head down a lot. But guys like him will always score goals because they just continue to play their game and are so abrasive

Whenever a potential deal is made public by the selling club I always think we're being used to drum up other interest.

Could be famous last words but I genuinely think Edouard wants to stay and complete the 10. Don’t think he would push for a move or anything like that. He will go next year and out of all the players who we have sold for big money, he will go to the biggest club for the biggest fee.

CELTIC have denied making a move for Israeli goal machine Shon Weissman.

Wolfsberger president Dietmar Riegler claimed last night that the Hoops had slapped in an offer for the prolific striker.

He told Kleine Zeitung: "As you already know, he wants to go to Germany or England.

"But we've not yet had any inquiries from there.

Offers have come, amongst others, from Russia and Scotland, from Glasgow Celtic.

"Because of the Corona crisis, everything is different this year. The seasons in Germany have now ended.

"The clubs know where they will play in the coming season. I think the next few days will be interesting for Shon."

But a Parkhead source has told SunSport that the Premiership champions have not made any formal approach

Weissman is in demand after bagging a sensational 37 goals in 40 games in his debut season for the Austrian Bundesliga side following his switch from Maccabi Haifa last summer.

The 24-year-old's red-hot form has alerted clubs across Europe, but it's believed Weissman has set his sights on a lucrative transfer to the German Bundesliga or English Premier League.

Weissman has another year to run on his contract, meaning he could be available for a cut-price fee.

Sure would be nice to have the option, but if the thought is he wants either Germany or England, then he would need to decide which league he wants.

Would seem he would be able to get a move to Germany this window now, considering he is tearing it up in their neighbouring league where the Germans have eyes all over the place.
All he would be doing, in a career point of view, is switching one neighbouring country for another in the hopes of getting then in to England.

I hope we do have concrete interest. He could be a great foil to eddie up top.

Phenomenal record as well. Could regret missing out. Dabbour is another israeli who had similar record over there as well as in Switzerland always felt we should have gone for him too.

Just strikes me as a player who could come here and do really well...not necessarily someone who is ready for England or germany yet. This is the only season hes had to date where hes really shown this prolific scoring form. So could easily be a flash in the pan.

If we are not interested in him, you have to ask why. We have * millions of pounds up against the wall in recent years on strikers with far inferior records.

We probably are looking at him but they've jumped the gun and said we've bid because they want a bidding war from elsewhere..
