I'd go with someone like porteous over Gallagher, younger and more potential. Don't think Gallagher would be any worse an option than Duffy mind

He's been pish but at least had a couple of competent games and a couple of goals too.

 

I've never seen a worse CB than he. No way. Even the likes of Olivier Tebily would have me more confident.

 

Du Wei, Schiedt, Lex Baillie, Pearce O'Leaery, Jos Thompson, Paul McGuigan - to name a few, but aye that's the debatable level..

 

Shane Duffy has spent most of his playing career in the English Championship, played 2 full seasons in the EPL before being found out as a defender and then eventually loaned out to us. I didn't get the hype surrounding him before he signed.

josh Thompson might have been decent in the air but Duffy would look like bolt in a race along side him.

du wei was a strange signing, bit like koki. Think only signed to boost our appeal in Asia - we also signed the Chinese captain at the time. Least he actually was a footballer, not that he did much at us.

but schiedt has to take the crown as worst centre half we have signed considering the money involved

 

SHANE DUFFY remains in Celtic’s plans according to assistant manager John Kennedy, and he will return to the squad after the Hibernian game tomorrow night.

Duffy was granted leave to return to the UK from the club’s mid-season break in Dubai to deal with personal issues, and will subsequently have to remain away from the rest of the group until a second round of Covid-19 testing has been completed.

But he will then come back into Neil Lennon’s thinking, despite speculation around the defender’s loan spell from Brighton being cut short this month.


“Shane had a couple of personal things that he had to leave Dubai for, so we sent him back on that basis,” Kennedy said.

“Following protocols, he’ll miss the weekend’s game because he’s left the bubble. He’s been through one round of tests, he’ll go through a second round before then returning to the bubble, which is normal protocol. Nothing unusual.

“From then on in Shane will be in our thoughts in terms of the games, but we just had to give him some time to sort some things out.”

 

In other words thats code for he's * off and we won't be seeing him again, thank *.

 

Can’t get over how much of a disaster he’s been.

To think if we had any kind of scouting network or connections we could’ve been spending that kind of loan money on a much better player. Instead it’s been * away on a dud.

Getting fed up of Celtic men that ‘know what’s at stake’. Give me a blissfully ignorant but talented professional any day.

 

I think it's the belief that all Premier league players are good and would destroy our league. That idea needs to go

No, but it is an added element to an overall equation. The financial outlay, the hype and expectations on arrival versus just how bad he has actually been.

 

When you see the ambition of our supporters it’s no wonder the board get away with murder.
