The priority this season has always been 10 in a row, no one not even Desmond or Lawwell would rather have been in the CL than winning the League.So if we want him it's to win the League.

We have plenty of money and assets as well to spend what we want to spend. Ajer, Ntcham, Christie, McGregor, Edouard thats £100million+ laying there.

If we want him we will still be trying to get him, main thing making it unlikely is probably more that theres probably a few EPL teams who would give him £50-60k a week so to come here he'll need to take a big paycut unless it's just a loan.

 

If Lennon/Celtic want to begin winning the support back, going all out for Duffy is a very good start. Hes one signing I dont think was dependent on us being in the CL.

Could be bullshit, but I seen the fee brighton wanted was around 5-7 million. With Ajer almost a certainty to leave just get it paid.

 

When’s the last time we failed to make the Champions League and never sold a big asset? I would be massively surprised if this happens and we don’t punt someone mate.

 

I wouldn't be tbh, we have enough money that we will still have money in the bank after this season even with the virus and nobody at games and spending money.

We never really sold Armstrong, Dembele or Tierney because we wanted to either it was cause they wanted to go. We are in a position nowadays where we can keep players as long as they want to stay, not that we need to sell to stop us going into debt as we are well clear of going into debt.

 

We did sell Tierney last year before we were knocked out

This year it'll almost certainly be Ajer, who I think was leaving no matter what. Ntcham could leave too, and I wouldn't blame him considering how he's treated here.

 

After last nights result and Lennon’s outburst last night I wouldn’t be surprised if Ajer, Ntcham and Eddy are all for the off.

They are all young players looking to showcase themselves and further their reputation and would have saw CL as a platform to do it. Now they are all likely to want to use their contract situations to push for moves.

Christie may do the same too.

On the flip side not having the potential of CL football just seriously dropped our potential to attract new talent.

 

If he really fancies himself as a Celtic fan who wants to fulfill his dream, CL qualification should be irrelevant.

We all knew we needed a type of player like this to come in and here we are, out of the Champions League qualifiers and still wondering if this deal will be done to strengthen our weak defence.

I think KT was told to go like McGeady was for Lennon’s first rebuild.

 

If Ajer is away, this needs to be a permanent deal, would be disappointed in a loan.
