Almost certain he was retired from international football before then. Unless he was so bad that I just try to forget about it :52:

Came on as a sub and scored an OG. No idea why that sticks in my memory.

    http://www.the42.ie/euro-2016-ireland-statistics-2852102-Jun2016/?utm_source=facebook_short

InStat provide analytical services to 800 clubs around the world – including Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund,
For what it’s worth, the Icelandic FA is also a client! Read into that how you will.

Having only started in two games and despite his red card against France, Shane Duffy is ranked surprisingly highly in the centre-back category. But some of his numbers are very impressive, like winning 78% of his defensive challenges and 81% of aerial challenges while he racked up a 75% success rate with his tackling. He’s 19th on a list of 72 and ahead of the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Toby Alderweireld, Ricardo Carvalho and Andrea Barzagli.

Rumours are he has two offers on the table... One from a sky sports funded franchise down South and one from us... One down south has offered a lot more cash but the lure of Celtic(boyhood fan) and Champions league footie has him thinking....

I would have taken Duffy before the performances in the euros. He's the type of defender we could do with, willing to put his body on the line, knows when to make tactical fouls, reads the game very well.

Think it's important we have a few different types of CB's to account for the different types of attacking lines we will come up against.

I think if he comes in, and he's playing against the newco....he's the type of defender that will really dominate that game

I like getting fans in the dressing room, as long as they are also good players, it tends to breed a bit of steel.

The rule doesn't always apply but I believe this is correct - they care more when we lose and want us to always win. Especially in old firm games.

Aye, not always true but something I like seeing. They generally know what's required and strive to deliver that.

Knowing us, we'll be using the fact he's a Celtic fan to get him hear on as little money as possible.

Don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as it doesn't ruin the deal. Would much rather see us negotiating to get as good a deal as possible than just throwing money at someone.

Think he would be decent for us but is he going to be a 1st choice? I'm not 100% sure. We have a fair few decent options but would like us to secure a quality centre half rather than increasing the number of similar level players.

I feel the same way tbh mate, think everyone is just writing off/forgetting about jozo - he was pretty decent when we saw him last season.

If he's back up to Jozo I'd take him, would much prefer caulker though.

Do you not trust the manager to decide which of our CHs would be most suitable?

Think we've been known to take the * before with players who are Celtic supporters though.

I know if I was offered a choice between Celtic and some English club for a few grand more, I'd most likely pick Celtic.
