Might be harsh but im wanting more from jota here, very wasteful

 

I think Ange is keeping Maeda/Abada for a strong finish. As long as it’s close on 70 minutes I think we can take this.

 

The problem is we could absolutely capitulate early in the second half here.

The way we get rattled so easily is so, so concerning.

Honestly not sure if we can wait to the 60 min mark for subs. Game could be out of sight by that time in the same way Madrid was.

 

Let them off the hook in the first 15 minutes or so, same old story ,if you don't take your chances you won't win these games. They are playing the same way they did against RB, soak up pressure then counter. Once they scored we lost our way and let them control the game. Dont like Jota out on the right much better on left, I would bring on Abada to keep Jota on the left.

 

Nah not at all… but having him on puts jota out his position where he’s been absolutely anonymous. Like a man down on the wings with him out there

That ball winner in midfield is needed big time, hopefully that Danish guy is it, its hard to drop calmac so it has to be oriley, don't see them able to play together in Europe, calmac is poor defensively and it shows continually in Europe so we're compensating for him by using oriley who doesn't look ready at this level.

 

If we don't score in the first 10 of the second half, chances are it'll collapse. We need to regain the momentum early and take the chances we create.

 

Kyogo needs some help and service. Working his * off with little sticking for him or support. He looks in the mood. Get him the ball through for him lads....

Where Calmac fits into this squad is a problem. He isn't cut out for DM at this level but I'm not sure he offers the same harrying presence in midfield either. Would rotate him with Hatate tbh.

 

Love Joe, he's been brilliant, but that replay doesn't look great for the goal!
