Just picked up on Rodgers saying we’ve done a bit of work on them before the Livingston game, we scored from one corner and had 2 big chances from subsequent ones. Different styles of corners and all swung in the box rather than short corners we don’t do * all with.

With Palma’s delivery it should be a big weapon set pieces, makes me think, * were we doing before that because I’ve been thinking all season that we look like we don’t have any plan at set pieces, offensively and defensively. Hope it’s something that continues though, the amount of corners we get, to the amount of chances we make out of them is miserable

We must have the worst goals from corners ratio in the league. I reckon we also must have the worst records re goals conceded from corners so, yes, * have we been doing re defending corners and scoring from them.

Well, if we weren't even taking the time to practice set pieces in training up until now, that would explain a lot.

Does make you wonder what the * they do at training, it obviously is not freekicks or penalties.

It gets to the point where a corner or a free kick in and around the box isn't a goal scoring chance. It's been like that for ages. I had to think back to strachans time or martin oneills team where there were genuine goals scoring chances from set plays.

Also, why do Celtic always * about with short corners? Waste time getting Carter Vickers and scales up for a corner, only to take a stupid wee short one. Sometimes it's a short corner then back out to the corner taker to then cross it it in. I know it pays to mid it up a bit but I noticed it against hearts, every corner was like that.

Seen against Livingston, get it in the box and the big guys will try and make something happen

If we have no faith in scoring from a set piece, then the CB-s should not be going up. If we are doing a short corner, there must be a plan and a method to attack, if we sent the CB-s up. Under Ange, we were actually practicing short, quick corners to surprise the opposition.

It's no hard to fire a ball in thr box from a sett piece and challenge for it. No idea why we have been * poor at both ends

I also always remember us being poor at set pieces attacking and defending under Rodgers in his first spell.

Whatever he's doing to set us up isn't working.

Hopefully throw-ins are being worked on as well. It’s something we’ve been atrocious at for years.

But we were general morevforward thinking and free scoring under Ange and therefore didn't usually have to rely on scoring from corners (whilst * our pants when the opposition were awarded a corner or setpiece against us) as much

That's another annoying aspect of our play. We seldom find our own players with them and we usually can't defend them - especially when they're near our penalty box

Thought they worked pretty well for Ange when the biggest thing was to get the ball back into play and keep the pressure on.

This year been hugely frustrated by the lack of players showing for them. Think that's been the main problem with them.

Palma hits those inswingers from the left that are basically shots at goal. I'd let him do that with every corner from there, a lot will go behind and be wasted but the ones that are on target or close can be flicked in or go in or keeper will flap it down for tap ins etc

I feel we'll score a good amount if Palma is basically just allowed to batter them at goal.

We don't really have guys who attack corners in the squad to cross normal balls in, barely anything will ever come of it.

The ones where CCV goes to block the keeper are useless. I prefer the early ones where our players stand apart, in a parallel line. That way, Palma can see whom he is targeting.

It’s so frustrating how bad we are at corners and free kicks at either end of the pitch. When was the last time you ever felt excited watching a free kick or corner?

I think the plan is Palma to shoot from corners and CCV to block the keeper, not hit the target yet though.
