Yeah, it's not like Banged Up Abroad doesn't exist. I thought poorer countries = shitehole jail was common knowledge.

Assuming they have done this and been caught (and lets face it ,its not looking good). I just don't get how people seem to be condoning what they have tried to do (christ they may have done it before) and that somehow we should all feel sorry for them as they are young etc !!! Nearly ever other day we hear in the news that some "young" person has committed some kind of a crime, mugging an old lady , murder etc but No-one seems to rush to say "Ah but they are young and naive " So what is the difference in this case ? :31:

Do you always dodge simple questions that were originally asked to you?

Do I endorse drug dealing/drug running? Such a generalist question.

Well if you are having sympathy for people who where caught red-handed with drugs in their luggage, that is the simple conclusion most would come to.

Oh where are the day's in Ireland that you would get a bullet in the knee at minimum for this type of behaviour...

    What principle? :97:

You've just lumped them in to a geralized comment about murders and mugging.

Also tar and feathered was another nice way to make sure the community knew who the Drug Dealers where.

The fact the trip to Peru from Madrid was all hush hush and no one even knew they were there tells you everything you need to know.

This is a well worn path and common income generating run, I believe there are are more than a good few British people already sitting in Peruvian jails after being caught going to Spain.

The thing about crime is it comes with risks and if you just want to play the big shot but are not prepared to take the punishment then thats why so many people have no sympathy.

The "let them off as drugs should be legal" viewpoint is crass in the extreme.

Just like society in general, it doesnt seem anyone including criminals want to take responsibility for anything anymore!

Easier to come out with stock excuses like we heard yesterday from this pair!

It is, quite - considering you've yet to explain why the fact that I may have some sympathy for them is "bullshit".

If you don't get the principle , then that may explain the "sympathy" you have for them :smiley-laughing002:

Obviously some of you lot have phobias against answering straight questions

Are you on about the principle that all of your examples are "illegal"?

If so, then why don't we lump in yer man who steals a few loose nails outta B & Q into that equation as well then.....

However if they both were extremely beautiful, they would be missed?

Ok..... I see your point actually.

Well you are not to keen on answering a straight question :smiley-laughing002:
Obviously its illegal to Mug someone or murder someone. When any of these happen, I don't hear people rushing to say "Ah they young , bless maybe we should go easy on them" So why is it different know ? (how that for a straight question).

Because..... that would be ending someones life or stealing from them. Then there would be no sympathy what so ever.

I don't see how bringing some drugs overseas is in the same category in all honesty.

Why would I answer a straight question when my perfectly reasonable ones weren't in the first place?

To answer that question at the bottom, I'm perfectly sure you do hear about this when the criminals are juvenile. That being said, not once did I say anything about their age nor advocating any leniency for them - I merely answered a question about having some sympathy for them, which I do.
