Celtic have already been linked with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Scott Sinclair as Rodgers looks to spent his £15 million transfer kitty on players capable of performing in Europe and sealing a sixth consecutive league title for the Hoops. (Various)

    From the Scotsmen rumours page

No quotes and not sure where the "various" sources are from...

Just the type of player who we should be looking at. Rodgers will know himself if he would do a job here.

I'd take him here in a second. But wages would certainly be a problem.

He was fantastic at Swansea when Rodgers was the manager and he plays on the left - a position we need quality in.

    Yes please.

    Why not? Seriously?

We have had tremendous success there in the past. Hooper and Forster are just 2 recently. Look at MONs reign. Rodgers knows that market and the players inside out down there. I'm hoping we are shopping there!

Meant the Premier League mate. Forster was a youngster Scott Sinclair must be about 28 29 now and has done next nothing.

Sinclair was fantastic at Swansea. Like many do he chased the money at Man City where he never had a chance, then went to Villa - a club in turmoil.

Coming to a dominant team would do him the world of good. He has talent.

Decent player on his day but no thanks.

I might be being overly judgemental here but he strikes me as your archetypal EPL player. Overpaid, only interested in making money and a famous WAG by his side. I don't think he has the hunger or attitude we need.

For the money he is on and for the amount he'd cost, we'd be better looking abroad. This is the problem with England.

Agreed mate, but we now have a manager that can get that type of player doing the business. If and its a big if we sign him I have 100% confidence he will shine here. I would not have been saying that six months ago but * it's great to be saying it now. If he will do the business here we will be after him.

he wouldn't be my first choice. Would rather Snodgrass if it was between the 2

Both playing at 100% potential?? Sinclair has potential world class ability. If Rodgers thinks he can bring that to park head there's only one choice for me.

There's no guarantees with any transfer, mate.

Whilst I agree he has talent on his day, he would command a massive wage and I feel it would be best used elsewhere.

We both might be right or wrong. Last time I was debating this stuff was when we were talking about signing your thompsons and suttons. I'm just happy we are there again. Might be getting too excited as I know your talking sense but * it I'm excited to be a fan again. Get him in!!

I agree. I would've taken him back in his Swansea days, not now. Attitude isn't right for what we need.
