Been saying it for a while now this bhoy is more than capable of becoming a Celtic legend, his finishing is second to none and the way he holds the ball up for a guy his size is just brilliant. Given the same amount of time Larsson had with us i believe his overall goal tally will be very close to the great man's.

IMO if we manage to hold onto him for another 5 or 6 year he will become the most prolific striker in SPL history. Brilliant wee player :shamrock:

Totally agree mate. Imagine how good he would be with a capable striking partner.

the all round improement to his play has been noted all year by me

    - first touh has gone from terrible to brilliant in a year
    - a deadly finisher
    -great turns and agility
    - brings others into play
-turns into good areas where he spreads play
    - puts in a great shift and has the heart for it

with out brown and skippy who knows what we would be this year

just look at the points skippys goals won

aberdeen away (3 points 2 goals)
killie away (3 points 2 goals)
dundee united away (1 point 1 goal)
motherwell away (1 point 1 goal)
hibs home (3 points 2 goals)
rangers away (3 points 1 goal)
aberdeen home (3 points 1 goal)

looking through early results sheridan weighed in with a few important goals - sammy has had 2 or 3 games were his goals were the difference as has big jan

but skippy has been by far the biggest asset up front with 7 games his goals got us the points - and his all round play has been better

he is still a good age at 25 and has another 7 good years in him as his game doesnt rely on blistering speed - would like to see skippy stay till he is into his 30s

I think we can keep him as he's a Celtic fan. But who should we play alongside him? If Sheridan had more experience I'd like to see that. I've lost count of the amount of times Skippy has thrown his arms about in anger because Sammy wouldn't pass to him. VOH seems to play well with him.

In terms of goalscoring, yes, probably, but so will Boyd. That means * all.

In terms of ability, he'll never be as good as Henrik Larsson or Kenny Dalglish.

That doesn't mean he can't go on to be up there with them.

In what way? Number of goals, definitely. Kenny Deuchar won't be far off them either.

Talent? Nowhere near Larsson or Dalglish. Only in the Fifa games will McDonald be near them.

tell you something if sammie kept up his form from earlier in the season and never got injured hed be into his 20s by now, skippy is also doing well,

Everyone sya slook at ho wmany goals Boyd has scored but you need to look at how many goals rangers have shared among them and the amount we have, everyone of our midfielders have scored all 3 of our strikers 2 of them 15 or over and quite a few from the rest of the team

Number of goals, workrate, commitment to the club, loyalty, etc.

You don't necessarily need more talent to be considered "greater".
