Thought he was gonna bury that chance at the death off the end of the 1-2, would have been a cracker of a goal.

 

Following the very sad news that our captain fantastic Scott Brown will be leaving Celtic to take on a new challenge, the Club has decided to make Scott’s last match at Celtic Park a very special tribute to a player who has been the most influential figure in Scottish football during the past 15 years.

Scott has given a decade and a half of his life to Celtic and it is only right that Celtic Park, the dear green place he has graced for so long gives him a great send off.

Already the Club has launched a special commemorative charity badge around this match, which will raise funds for two fantastic causes, our Football for Good Fund and the Edinburgh sick children’s hospital, a charity very close to Scott’s heart.

But we also want to make sure that on his last game at Paradise, the Club and fans can further mark the phenomenal contribution of a true Celtic Legend.

Everyone at the Club will miss Scott and everything that he brought to Celtic and we know our supporters will feel exactly the same.

At Scott’s final match of the season at Celtic Park on 12th May, the Club will pay its own special tribute to and we want supporters to be a huge part of this too.

We realise it has been a very difficult year for supporters, not being able to access Celtic Park and unfortunately, this remains the case, but on the evening of 12th May 2021, for our last home game of the season and Scott’s last, we invite fans to pay their own tribute to Scott, whether this be through jerseys, flags, banners etc.

Of course, we wish you were with Scott and the club in person, but in the days preceding the match, we will be offering supporters groups and clubs and individual fans the chance to bring any tribute for our Captain and these will then be distributed by staff to adorn the inside of Celtic Park as our Captain leads out the team.

We are sure the colour and support will be appreciated by Scott, someone who has done so much to deliver success to the Club and our fans.

Scott will always be held in the highest esteem and we are sure our fans will want to pay tribute to a Celtic Great. While we are sure Scott’s last game at Celtic Park will be a poignant occasion, it is important we also celebrate the contribution of a real club Legend.

Clearly, this can only be done within current guidelines relating to travel and staying local etc. Supporters should not bring any tribute to the stadium at the moment, further details of drop off arrangements, logisitics and protocols will be issued in the next few days.

 

Was good yesterday but totally ran out of gas after about an hour. Understandable but how the management team looked at him toiling for 10min or so before hooking him, when it was obvious to all his race was run.
Brown gets a lot of flack when things go pear shaped but his game management has been the reason.
We will miss him.
Surely a new manager may see certain attributes that he might bring to the new era?

How is he playing over Soro?

Mind blowing. He got torn to shreds and backed out of most of it. Did he win a challenge against Kent?

Even if you thought Brown is better than Soro (which he isn’t), you use this opportunity to give Soro experience.


But nah, sentiment and jobs for the boys FC at it again. It’s some * disease this club has.

 

Mate not even close to the worst players today , only real trier alongside Turnbull we had , the rest cant wait till season is over .

 

We offered him a new deal.

 

Today proves he no longer has the ability or legs to plY at the top level. Aberdeen is his level. Soro must be given time now.

 

Brown was the Huns best player today.

 

The last thing Neil Francis Lennon did before he left was reinstate Brown for absolutely no reason, and Kennedy has no balls to actually drop him.

I love the guy, but he was done last Summer.

 

Can't wait till he's gone at this point an absolute hindrance, soro came in played class and somehow ended up back on the bench for the Scott brown farewell tour, great servant but so far off it now its ridiculous.
