He's been a Legend, but we need freshness in there now. He's beginning to look like the Actor/Pop star/YouTuber at Soccer Aid.

    Way off it.

how many times does he give the ball away now, it's getting hard to watch just how much he has deterioated this season, he should be coming on with 20 minutes to go to calm everything down after the game has been secured. his time as a starter is done.

He's getting hung out to dry by Lennon, feel for broony, nowhere near good enough anymore.

He can lead the team from inside the dressing room for the remainder of the season. He's a class act, but now we're out of Europe with a whimper, and lennon's job in the balance we need attacking play, freshness in the team, goals give the armband to McGeagor. Don't know who's going to shore up our defence but i thimk NCham will play a defensive role better than Brown right now. We need our wingers back, we need to play Rogic we could only muster 1 goal today. We can huff and puff all we want we need a change of manager and positively to return to the club it can return!

    It’s embarrassing for him now.

Its at the point you begin to speculate Lennon feels he has to play him or Brown will turn the team against him.

Brown could also put his hands up and say I'm not at the required level, I will step aside and let Turnbull, Soro or one of the younger guys have a go at it.

I love Broony, but when KT was * and could barely walk he was one of the guys who told him "just play you'll be alright". You can look at that in a good or bad way, but if he really gave a * about the team he would not be starting games anymore.

Should just retire, offering nothing at all.

Scott Brown isn't really the problem. Used correctly he's still a valuable player, but he's consistently left expoed.

Is it finally acceptable to say that he's done now?

He leaves other players far more exposed.

There’s very little debate on it now. Even leadership on the pitch has been poor, unless we want to disregard things like him throwing the game against Hibs and the general lack of on field organisation at set pieces.

Nearly everyone said that we should use Broony sparingly this season but he's been played in practically all our games and, as a result, we are now witnessing a club legend struggling badly.

Said that in the match thread.. he can still do some sort of job for us domestically. Playing away from home in Europe against teams that can play football, hes not worth a *.

The thing about Celtic fans is, we're (mostly) a sentimental bunch of *, and this blinds people, unable to face the fact that a player or manager isn't good enough.

Brown has been on a sharp decline since Rodgers bolted, which is understandable considering his age, position and style of play. He's been officially done since we came back from Covid. He's a million miles off the pace yet you still have posts in this thread saying he can "offer us something".

I honestly don't believe Broony is that kind of guy. He has always been loyal and professional with the manager. For a long time Broony was the guy with all the guts, fight and drive. We always did badly when he was left out of the team. So much so that he played whilst carrying injuries. He's now at the end of his game and Lennon is afraid to drop him. He needs a scape goat and Broony in the meat in the sandwich here. When there's pressure coming from the top it dribbles down. No one stays at the top without stabbing a few folk in the back. Broony is done.....simple as. Lennon has the responsibility and should recognize that.
