    I think Lennon should allow him to play 16 of the remaining matches this season to let Broony reach his 600 tally for us but i think he should be on subs bench against the huns. These matches are too important for sentimentality to get in the way of 10IAR.

    Encouraging to hear Lenny say he will need to manage the number of games played. Only thing I would say is that the conversation is about what’s best for Scott brown, and I think the bigger issue here is what’s best for the team. As many have said, he’s a yard off it, isn’t really offering much going forward and going through a bit of poor form. No one is questioning his leadership, but we really should be looking at the line up and playing the team that will provide us with the cutting edge we are lacking at the moment. We are too ponderous and predictable at the moment and a lot of that involves broony. Sadly no time for sentiment this season, so would rather see Lenny be a bit more ruthless in his selections. That doesn’t just go for broony, but any player experiencing a dip in form should be treated the same

    Think he has to play against the huns. We’ve not established anyone else at being able to effectively do the job he does yet.

    We should have been doing that already, whether it’s Soro or not.

    Saying it is one thing, will believe it when we see it happen.

    Lennon has previous for talking out his * and/or going against things he has said in a presser that is used to just please the fans.

    Is he saying this to keep the fans at bay for a little longer, in the hope the team finally clicks and we all pretend this massively shakey start did not happen? Or is he legit going to actually drop him?

    Someone mentioned it earlier, and I have said it before, but we need to really start to play without him, not just for his sake, but for the longevity of the squad. Does no one any favours if we never learn how to play and dominate a game without him - because one day he really won't be here. I'd rather learn to play without him, while we can still use him at times to kick the team up the * or come on and dictate a game if needed, than be found next season with no leader and at a complete loss as to where the squad finds that inspiration from.

    That's my concern here, we are a week away from that game and haven't managed to find a team to play without forcing him in to a squad. Next excuse after that will be qualifiers are too important to drop him, then it will be a busy October/November with the league still "close" so we won't want to drop him in fear we don't win and it gets pointed at the lack of a broony, then it's the run in, maybe a last 32, then it's the final swansong.
    Roll on next season, could be the same again.

    Lennon I fear will always find an excuse to play him, when he needs to grow a pair and play a more energetic and attacking squad and just be done with it. If we are 1-0 up with twenty mins to go and we are fearing the opposition is coming in to a game, then toss Brown on to shore it up and bring some fire to the team. No need to insist he plays every game, as it seems is the case.

    SB on #CELLIV: "It's about us winning as many games as possible. Sometimes you concede and it's about how you bounce back. It shows the lads have that winning mentality."

    SB on #CELHIB next weekend: "Hibs are a great team as well with a good result at the weekend. Jack Ross has them playing really well. But, the main focus for us is Thursday and Riga."

    SB on
    @EuropaLeague
    : "We had an unbelievable campaign last year, getting some big results in the group stage. We want to get back there but we know it will be difficult. We need to make sure we react well and hopefully get the win."

    SB on new Bhoys: "The new lads have been brilliant since they've come in. They've all gotten a good amount of minutes on the pitch so far. A few have come from different teams and different pre-seasons so everyone is just getting towards full fitness right now."

    SB on
    @10DavidTurnbull
    : "David's a great guy. Technically he's very good and he understands what Celtic is all about. He's relishing the chance to be here and here's hoping he'll get his chance to shine soon."

    SB: "Competition in the squad is really good. Everyone's got to fight for their place. The gaffer wanted to add quality to the squad. We can chop and change systems depending on the game. It pushes everyone on."

    SB on COVID restrictions: "It's hard for everyone, not just footballers. We're lucky to still be playing through the pandemic and we just want to stay as safe as we can."

    SB on fans: "Football is totally different without fans. They miss us and we miss them. You want to play in front of the fans and we've got players who haven't experienced a full, noisy Celtic Park yet."

    as the captain, he’s a great motivator. We all have our own self-motivation but with Broony and the gaffer, we have great motivators there. There’s no lack of motivation within our squad."

    There was a stage there at 70 mins when a Riga player just jogged past him, he didn’t have the legs to even chase him down outside the box.

    He needs dropped, holding back the team and Lenny is playing a diamond in the middle to try and help Broony. Either Lenny needs to grow a set or Brown needs to take a step back and be brutally honest with himself.

    The huns will run all over him, their midfielders move around a lot he will get * bossed if we play him, just like he is getting bossed against weaker teams.

    Is not just Browns fault,hes getting played 90 mins nearly every game by Lennon,he has to stop this now.

    Its not even amusing now. Brown is attempting to do what he is told to do,but his legs aint at it every single game.

    We have players in that position to help him out and Lenny is * that up.

    I dont want to see a backlash against a player thats getting forced out on the pitch every single game

    It's amazing how a player can be so bad in a short period of time. He has to be carrying an injury or his legs have just gone. Manager needs to drop him.

    He was on the decline last year and then never played for 5 months. Highly doubt he’ll get back to the level he was at

    Joke of a decision to take Ntcham off and leave him on. Lennon is * hopeless and Brown is done.
