Changed the game when he came on. Slowed it down for a spell to bring it back under our control and then brought the pace back up, but with us in command. Had them well beaten psychologically too. His game intelligence is so important for us.

He's an experienced winner , when he came on was perfect time just took the sting out of the game and easy pass , old head.

Immense when he came on and had the Aberdeen players in his back pocket with his gamesmanship.
They were so focused on getting at Broony that Aberdeen lost their focus on the game .

He's 33 and still one of the fittest in the squad , no doubt he'll be wanting to play every week. but we are comfortable knowing we can rest him when needed with amount of games.

Think you’ll see his role evolve for the rest of the season now but he is absolutely crucial to us. In more ways than one.

I'd turn him into a Mascherano-type centre back.

Exactly how I can see it going. Was what Rodgers intimated when he first took over and we’re seeing him drop deeper and deeper.

He’ll be used a bit more sparingly and when he does it’ll be in a sweeper type role.

Since Rodgers has come in when we've been in possession at the back, Brown has been dropping into the central defensive role spreading the ball about essentially turning it into 5 at the back allowing our full backs to go forward.

He's not a giant of a man, but he's clever enough to be in the right positions and uses his body with more than enough tenacity. I suspect Rodgers had high hopes of doing the same with that Scouse * along the road, but he thought he was too big for his own boots and * off to L.A

I * love him, hope to * he ends up on our coaching staff when he hangs up his boots.

Positive Rodgers said before he could see him playing at the back as he got older, or something along those lines

Keep him in that role. Its worked twice perfectly. no need to change it.
