Skippy was great! But yeah legendary status didn't quite work out for him. He provided plenty of great memories though. I'm sure there's a few folk who won't agree Broony is either but they'd be wrong.

Who have you got listed now for future legend and captain? Tierney is the only player I think though I hope he stays long enough for that to happen.

Definitely Tierney. He could be a modern day McStay.

    MOTM

Looked like he was playing against a pub team at times.

Yeah I see Tierney as a future captain and legendary status is a given as Celtic produce great captains. The rest are good enough at what they do but they don't really stand out for me. You have to have a toughness and a strength of character and Tierney has that and more.

Have never been his biggest fan and prob never will be, but for me that's his best game as a Celtic player .. Certainly his best game as captain.

    Absolutely magnificent!

You know Broony has had a good game when he gets praise from Rossenspiel.

He played well today but by no means was that his best game as a Celtic player.

You are giving the opposition too much credit there.

I don't know what his best game was but I always remember the Benfica game where I thought he was fantastic. Apparently the Villareal game he was great even though we lost that one.

He was immense against Hapoel Beer Sheva, that's probably the one that sticks out for me over the last year or so.

He's having a fantastic season though. The contrast in this thread compared to a few months ago is something else.

Motm today, bossed the midfield and made them look even worse than they are.

Was excellent today i felt for him though he was alone at times trying to do everything he needs a partner in the trenches and bitton isn't that guy

Always been a fan of his, even if my support for him struggled last season! He was forever a player who divided opinion but everyone starting to see his quality now.

Seems to me the type of player who loves it when he has to control the centre mid by himself, and hates it when he has it easy or someone is assisting him too much. Think it may take the shine off a victory for him if he felt someone outworked him in that position, it is evident in his performances he covers for 2-3 players at times.

Absolute sensation performance from our captain.

Best game in a Celtic jersey for me, considering he single-handedly bossed the midfield area as Bitton (once again) was like a man short.

Played great, that mazey run that he won the free kick on the edge of the box was magic.
