Based on tonight’s performance and the fact that he was part of the squad that got to this stage in the cup, Bain should start on Sunday. However, some of the comments regarding both Barkas and Bain are in poor taste tbqh

Not might, it’s definitely wrong. Barkas has made more than 9 saves in his time with us. If I recall he’s made 14.

Could have done better for the goal but * happens. Saved the penalty, that was a terribly hit penalty. So in that respect well done. Got extra confident then brought back to earth when he bained it leaving an open goal. That right there shows hes not our number 1. Hes good at his feet though. Should just replace duffy.

It was far from a terribly hit penalty, guy smashed it.

Not sure I haven't counted them individually. Not jumping on the Bain bandwagon, though I agree it's probably his spot to lose atm. I just think that folk assuming he made more saves in one match goes to show how much of a scapegoat people have tried to make Barkas look.

I've always liked Bain, but too much goes through him...

But, aye he keeps his place for me.

Was a joke mate, not expecting you to go check :56:

Definitely agree mate but right now, it’s Bain’s place to lose IMO

    This place... honestly!

Folks forget that not so long ago they were slating him as not being good enough... but then he saves a Penalty - and suddenly he's Buffon!

I think it's grossly unfair that Barkas was dropped. There wasn't a whole lot he could do about most of the goals conceded during his watch - the defence has been awful!

He saved a penalty and not much he could of done for their 1st, guy smashed it at him from 5 yards because Christie never marked his man, to blame Bain is * daft.

I think he’s clearly a step down on Forster. Based on what I’ve seen from Barkas so far, I think he is too.

I think there’s a few occasions where I would’ve expected more from Barkas, as far as the goals he conceded goes. Outside of that, he has to take his fair share of the blame for our defensive frailties imo. His communication is......well he doesn’t really communicate.

Thought he was majorly unlucky with that.

Barkas was only dropped due to injury.

He's shown more dig and willingness to get his body in the way of a shot than Barkas.

In this very moment Bain stays in goal. End of.

Doesn't matter if I think we should be doing better than to be having Bain in goal, but Barkas in far to many games now has shown nothing to warrant staying as no.1.

Barkas as had the same players to deal with as Bain (our defence) and thus far Bain has shown him up.
