Updated news. Specifically trained in kidnapping for his job.

Really doesn't sit well with me that Police Scotland have said that they'll break up socially distanced vigils while allowing that mob to (literally) run riot last week.

Met Police response to young lassie's holding a vigil about how unsafe they feel on the streets...

Contrast that with Police Scotland allowing 10s of thousands of them to March miles from Ibrox to George Square. No arrests, no hauling any of the vermin to the floor. Minging

This is rightly getting plenty of coverage but I find it very odd that the Bennylyn Burke case isn't. The equally despicable murder of a 25 year old woman and a 2 year old child with a hammer.

The media works in strange ways. I don't want to call it a race issue, but the total lack of coverage is odd to say the least. Does her being Filipino influence the importance of the story?

This case is close to home being in Dundee. The bodies were found today. Absolutely disgusting and tragic. One child somehow has survived/was spared.

A few of us here have been saying the same, the coverage has gone silent on this brutal story. But you don't want to sound insensitive to the other case or points score etc.

I would stop quite a way short of saying it is a race thing, but it does make you wonder.

I'm getting a bit uncomfortable with all the man bashing going on. There is a lot of bad men, but we're getting all tarred with the same brush.

Speaking to the women I know they don't agree the behaviour they getting people to stand up on TV to say they face on a daily basis is common at all.

They are painting the picture that they live in great fear and attacks by strangers are common. Things like rape the attacker being a stranger is very rare. It's nearly always someone the victim knows. Female murders are most likely to be carried out by their partner or ex.

There was a 16 year old murdered in Wales the other week too. Like the Dundee case the victim knew the murderer. I read this was a very unpleasant case, but this didn't get this level of attention.

I'm not saying their isn't a serious problem to address, but the picture that's being painted is inaccurate and unfair.

It is odd how some cases really take off and others dont. Like Madeline McCann too.
I think, in this case, it's because this guy is a police officer. He's the sort you're supposed to seek help from, not get kidnapped and murdered.

Could well be, but even before that there was signifcantly more coverage.

As Marty says, don't want to turn it into a point scoring exercise or to sound insensitive. I just find it really strange.

Horrific! s a father of two daughters it doesn't bare thinking they'd end up in the hands of such a vile human being! RIP to this girl!

Humans are savages! It's just some of us are conditioned better than this * because of the system we live in and the values we've been brought up with! Take away the protection of the system we live in and everyone's mindset changes! With that said, I hope this * rots in jail for the remainder of his life!

PS Might have had the odd drink today but as a man i well know as do countless on here how Men can and do behave,it is a disgrace, they are .unts...............I fell out forever with two Male Pals of mine in my life for their ,hite attitude towards Women.
We should and must live in an Equal Society for all Sexes, and as a man i know too many of our * are not for that. Not that every Women also is perfect, but that goes without saying.
I love Good People and maybe People who really try and be good.

The reality is high up coppers don't care if people have a low opinion of them. They will help their mates out. If you get a higher sentence for attacking coppers then coppers should get higher punishments for crimes as they are hired to keep our streets safe.
I know not all coppers are * but I think the ones at the top are. I just think back to the independent inquiry into racism in the met police, it found it was and Cressida * just said it wasn't rather than act on it.

The met police especially, is corrupt as *.

Cressida * was someone in a position of authority during the gunning down Jean Charles de Menezes.

Look where that * is now, joke really.
