    Do we honestly think he could do the Armstrong role?

    He was excellent when he came on but he's never been the most physical for me and if anything, shirks a challenge. Isn't as quick. Inconsistent. Doesn't have that tenacity and positional sense. It's completely different to him as a 10 or off the left wing, false 9..

    I'd love it if we had someone who can be that box to box midfielder, creating and scoring and energetic with a real determination. Would be massive for us..

    He can maybe be the 1 to hit our corners and set pieces as well. I'm sure he's good with them?

    Would be a masterclass if Brendan could turn him in to a quality 8..

    I think some people are getting ahead of themselves. Hopefully he can kick on and establish himself in the team/squad.

    Agree with you in regards to the Armstrong comparisons. Armstrong was more powerful.

    Aye I'd love to be proven wrong and have been already to some extent but he's always been inconsistent...even at the sheep..

    It was a stroke of quality management by Brendan Sunday with McGregor and Christie in the middle but I doubt it would always work, unless he improved quite a bit of his game....and I don't mean technically..

    Are they? Armstrong took 2 years to really be that good once joining Celtic, and even then he went down hill last season.

    I think you're kidding yourself if you think Armstrong was THAT much better in as short a time (minutes wise) as Ryan.
