It may be a silver lining of the poor transfer window- us looking inside our roster and discovering a player or two that could help.

For all those that are splaffing in their pants over Armstrong the reality is that Armstrong had a good second half of the season in the invincible season, the rest of the time he was average or injured. As for Europe, he often looked lost. It should also be noted that he didnt even make the bench for Southampton today.

What? they were playing Crystal Palace today. If you're trying to suggest that he played well in some previous game and therefore would have played today then I take it he is out injured AGAIN, which is even worse. Brilliant piece of business to get £7 million for him.

No idea if he's injured. I think we did well to get £7m for him too.

Rodgers was quite clear that Christie was going nowhere, and it has to be assumed that's because he's here to replace Armstrong. I like the lad, and think we can develop him like we did with McGregor. After all, what's the point of having a youth academy and signing the youngsters if we're not going to finish the conveyor belt process off. If he's given matches, and the fans don't tear him down at every mistake I think hellh come really good this season

A good SPL player, a poor Celtic player.

I would go as far as decent SPL player. Never good enough for us.

Underrated, I think he’ll get chances this season and be an important squad player. He can fill the Armstrong gap.

The one thing we miss domestically that Armstrong brought was his bursting runs through packed defences and always willing to get in behind and create space. We don’t get that from McGregor, Rogic or Ntcham.

Haven't seen enough of him to fairly judge him but didn't realise how rapid he is.

He was tore down and unfortunately was outside the box. He's giving it all and that's all I want from a player. He's getting his chance.

I thought it was a bit of a dive. I think "tore down" is a stretch

The more players we have like Tierney & Christie etc.. the better. The players that want to be here will always work the hardest

Defo a bit if a dive which was disappointing. His work rate when he came on was impressive though, need to keep getting the wee chap some more minutes.

"Tore down", Come on mate :56:

    Slight contact.

Not a big fan, but I was screaming for him to replace Rogic.

I agree that his work rate is tremendous and he’ll always give his all for us, but still not sure if he’s got the quality to make it. Glad he’s getting a chance tho.
