How come any time Ireland beats a team like South Africa, or another from the southern hemisphere, it's called a 'famous' victory, as if it's a rare thing. Irish rugby has been at a high standard for a long time now. Is the gap in quality that big?

Watched the Wales game. * boring 2nd half after a decent 1st. Too much emphasis on physicality playing through the forwards from Wales in particular. Australia did try to move it wide not enough for me (from both sides) when you consider the likes of Cuthbert, North, Ashley Cooper, Folau and others were on show.

Unlike football, the home team changes kit (at international level at least). Do you know that when the contracts for an all-black match are being written that they insist on playing in their black gear?

Anyway, good wins for Ireland & Scotland although we (Scotland) need to sort out the discipline - that could've been costly at the end, luckily we were too far in front.

    Question.
What would happen if, when playing the All Blacks, and they were doing the Haka, the opposition team just laughed and turned their backs on them.

Given the Canterbury kits are brand new I think it might be the latter fact. Quite like the new away top. Not liking the new home one though myself.

Going into the game Ireland's all time record against South Africa was 5-17. Historically Ireland has a very poor record against the 3 big southern nations. But that has started to imporve over the last decade. We have now won 4 out of the last 7 games against South Africa.

What a classic between Ireland and Australia. I only got to watching the game today and wow what a thriller. Game had everything and in the end Ireland follow up the big South Africa win with another great win 26-23 against Australia. Amazingly the Ireland coach was rushed to hospital after the game to have his appendix removed having refused to leave during the game.

    Stokes obviously, or Johansen
    * amazing victory yet again yesterday! It's been some year for the lads hopefully we can retain the six nations come spring (possibly even the grand slam this time) and set ourselves up nicely for the world cup.

Absolutely love Rugby Union! * proper sport with proper men in it. You know when Ireland have won a game they've put in a proper fight!

What a year for Irish rugby in 2014 winning 90% of our games as well of course as the 6 Nations title. If we could actually go into the Rugby World Cup finals next year at full strength it would be really interesting to see what would happen.

6 Nations Rugby gets underway this weekend. Ireland has never before won back to back titles and will have to manage without Sexton this weekend in Rome against Italy. Wales and England get things started on Friday night.

    COYBIG!

Loved last years one, after we lost to England didn't expect us to be anywhere near winning it. I fairly drank myself into a coma that night.
