Usually my favourite sporting tournament (outside anything Celtic is playing in), but I suspected this year would be * without fans.

    Me!? Wrong again!?

    :56:

    T’was a * belter of a Tourney!

Scotland are definitely making progress - sometimes it feels like 2 steps forward and one back, but it’s still progress!

Hogg and Watson are nailed on Lions. Finn’s a probably, and Jamie Ritchie is a decent bet.

Zander Fagerson and Jonny Gray should be in with a good shout too.

Think Van Der Merwe deserves a shout. Dunno how many wingers they take and there’s obviously a few good ones, but he’s a monster. No other winger in the 4 home nations is as physical as him.

He’s moving to Worcester who are getting battered 62-14. Madness.

He would be a shoe-in offensively, but he’s perhaps a little questionable in defence. I’d take him, but I’m not sure Gatland will be all that keen.

He’s got to be one of the first names on the Lions Tour.

    Playing unreal again today.

Utterly dominant display in the final too against Munster. Really the 16-6 scoreline did not reflect how one sided the game actually was.

And what a performance that was by Leinster. I must admit after that first 10 minutes when they just carved us open at will and lead 14-0 I thought * we are going to get a doing here but I should not have doubted Leinster who showed such composure at all the key moments and in the end to come from 14-0 down after 10 minutes and end up cruising 34-22 is impressive. I thought also the game was a real coming of age for Ross Byrne at out half when he came on for Sexton after 25 minutes. He was nothing short of superb. Leinster have had many great days in Europe over the years but that was right up there.

Aye I feared the worse but a quality performance in the end my hatred for them is more of when we played them in the pool stage a few years ago and a group of their fans behind me just kept shouting cheifs every 5 mins

I can imagine yes that would be so * annoying having to listen to that nonsense.
I always though that was so weird an English team calling themselves chiefs and the whole logo and everything they have going on with that. Pretty racist really IMHO.

Townsend and Tandy been involved with the Lions is a great thing for the Scotland boys who deserve to go.

8 Scottish players is more than I imagined, but no Jonny Gray is a shock.

Lawes, Aki and Daly shouldn’t be near it.

The big surprise for me from an Irish perspective was no James Ryan. Sexton I can see from the standpoint of his durability at this late stage in his career. Although as he showed during the 6 nations when he is good to go he is still a top performer.
