Think Kenny might be away on loan and vata maybe get the odd game. Think we might get another forward in but someone on loan or a “prospect”, as right now we have jota,maeda,giak,kyogo,forrest,Abada all up top which i woulda said is probably enough. Can’t imagine ange booting down the door for a backup. And I think he’s made it clear now he doesn’t like these board signings as he never plays them

Seems to constantly be showing well. Hopefully he can continue the progress and work his way into the first team in the next couple of years. Might be one who could benefit from a loan period at another SPFL club next summer.

Drop him in the deep end and play him, Abada will be away soon and no doubt kyogo too. If we want anyone to progress we’ll have to throw them in at some point

Rocco Vata is the brightest jewel of the Celtic academy. Of Albanian origins, but who defends the colors of Ireland (where he was his mother), the 2005 class has been part of Celtic under23 since he was 15 years old. Under 19 star of the national team, he recently scored against Fulham, but also against Leipzig in the Youth League. He is a talent to keep an eye on, so much so that Milan and Juventus have followed him very closely, as have Rome, Arsenal and Manchester City. However, there is a detail: the Scots have no intention of selling it, behind the aegis of the coach Ante Postecoglou who, however, does not yet want to use it for the first team. Now the valuation is around 2 million

He has a pro contract, that’s a difference than what we’ve had before with Ben Doak or Liam Morrison to Bayern.

And if the interest is serious, we either rinse the teams that want him and have a good sell on, or we step up the development and get him into the team to show them he should be here.

Aye mate, was in talks when we put him on in Europe and against the Huns to try and persuade him.

There’s a few quotes from Ange round that time explaining that he wants him in around the team and hopes he’ll sign. He opted for Liverpool, but it was a close choice that. And looking at how he’s developing down there at the moment, probably the right choice tbf.

As annoying as that is.

 

Aye, harsh reality of what we're up against. Personally I'd argue he'd have been better developing here but I'm biased.

 

He’d have needed to be exceptional immediately to do it here, because the only chance he’d develop better is playing week in, week out.

He’s powered through their youth teams that was his age group, and is the stage just before the first team with Liverpool. And Klopp has a history of playing youngsters and preserving, he looks well on his way for that just now.

Time will tell for definite, but so far looks like he’s made a good decision.

 

I think this kid will make it at the club. If we dont lose him to a EPL side. Hope we can tie him down long term.

 

I think the only way we will keep him is to give him some game time sooner rather than later.

I know that didn’t work with Doaks but I think his circumstances were different in that we played him as quickly as we could but the cash at Liverpool ended up too much. Vata is a year older and could play in the first team the now. He is a right winger which is a position we are rotating.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him on the bench ahead of Ideguchi who never seems to get on.
