It's a shame whole clubs are tarred one way or the other because of a few loons who seem to use football as a platform for their pish.

Huge generalization there and very Islamophobic sectarian point of view you have. I have met plenty of Christian Palestinians who have married Muslims and and many fight along side Muslims and feel the brunt of Zionist brutality on a daily basis. And you are wrong Palestine is very multicultural Muslims are not a race you can be any race and be Palestinian or Muslim. Palestine is not Hamas or any other group it's not left wing or right wing it's a nation of different people and religions who have no nation of their own as the Zionists continue to take their land and humiliate them.

Spurs are not a left wing club in any sense. There is no predominant political affiliation within the huge and extremely diverse fanbase. I'm a regular at the lane (brother is a silver member) and I have absolutely no knowledge of a significant left wing political movement amongst the fans (I say that as someone who sits in the west stand on my trips though). IMO its the best way for it to be, people of all political leanings brought together by football.

With regard to the frequent sightings of Israeli flags at Spurs games, especially when away in Europe, that doesn't in any way suggest that those who take them are right wing - all one can really tell is they have a connection of some sort to the country itself, which is of course the home of hundreds of thousands of left leaning people who happily identify with the flag of Israel!

Well I'm certainly not pro-Zionist by any stretch of the imagination, I was just highlighting that if you lock people up for being gay you're probably fairly right wing.

I'm not really sure of the whole point you are trying to make and I'm not sure about the pro-Zionist position on homosexuality, I'm just pointing out what the law states in the Gaza Strip.

Not saying your pro zionist it is just something that is used to demonise the pro-palestine argument by saying they lock up homosexuals which of course is wrong (came across a bit strong thanks to mr smithwicks). I am pointing out that being pro-palestine and left wing is feasible as believing a country should not be occupied does not mean your in agreement with the ruling party in palestine I believe Ireland should be united but I am not in agreement with SF on numerous of matters

I see your point about not agreeing with the ruling party over everything, but in my mind there's a big distinction between disagreeing with domestic policy and the fact that someone's very existence is criminalised.

So, for me, I would always regard Palestine as right-wing until that situation changes.

You don't understand right wing or left wing or much else by your comments. I think it's down to ignorance and hopefully not stupidity.

Without commenting on anyone in particular is think the misuse of "left wing" and "right wing" is probably the single biggest mistake people regularly make on this forum - or second only perhaps to people calling other people "fascists" without any grasp for what it actually means.

Really? Leaving aside your childish insults, here's an overview of right wing politics:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-wing_politics

Now, tell me how the criminalisation of homosexuality is not right wing?

It is left wing politics which is traditionally associated with social equality.

I think you'll find that most people, including myself, consider the Israeli Government to be right-wing, not the nation as a whole. To brand an entire nation (or football club for that matter) in such a way is ridiculous.

The UK has a right-wing Government. Does that mean that the UK is a right-wing country?

What's with the Islamophobia as well?

Honestly, this kind of uninformed nonsense really does my head in.

Do you have examples of Non-Muslims being attacked in Palestine on the basis of their religion. You are aware there are Palestinian Jews - Living amongst Muslim Palestinians.

Left wing and right wing are so crudely defined that the different branches of both leanings have lost all substance.

    This.

Someone could support Gay rights but be right leaning in economic policies.

Because the club was founded by Catholics and has a large catholic fan base. What's difficult to understand?
