Christie looking a bit erratic again, and he's dropping into the areas that Edouard would naturally go into. We're playing with two guys up front who want to drop deep or wide and get the ball into feet. You'd imagine we'd be better of pairing either of those two with Ajeti, Griffiths or Klimala who all like to play up against the defence and/or run in behind.

Neither McGregor or Ntcham are linking with the strikers enough. In the second half of last season we'd see the ball going into the strikers feet and at least one of those two making runs into the box. Not happening anything like enough I don't think.

Don't recall either Taylor or Forrest actually beating a man. At least Frimpong has had a couple of goes.

Brown really offers very little in a game like this. A player in that deep role who could find a pass would give us so much more against a packed defence like this. Fully understand the importance of Brown in certain situations, but not tonight.

 

You heard KT on OG, he said Arteta for each game you know exactly what to do, any decent manager would have the team playing and drilled how to play each game, with Lennon you just think its a motivational speech and throw them out to win.

 

Best time Christie has offered something is out on the left wing beat two men and got a ball in. Much more than what Taylor has offered

 

4 in midfield is absolutely pointless when playing a team sitting that deep, just congests the middle especially with Brown sitting who slows it all down.

i dont think we are passing or playing the ball slow like people are saying

what it is for me is that we are playing a system that the coaches have driven in to the players mindset

keep playing the ball to the closest man next to you and draw their players onto you all the time as your moving up the park and hopefully that creates space for your attackers at the other end

but it isnt working, every * team we play against know this is the way we play and are making us look like a * pub team

none of our players out there are worth 20 30 million quid its a * joke that we play this system with absolutely no imagination

were over coached to play a particular system and way and we look average against every * we play

The annoying thing is in his first stint he showed he knows how to set out and organise a team in Europe, solid at the back and in midfield then play quick attacking football on the ball. * knows what he's doing now.

 

He's provided that role since the day his made his debut 10 years ago....if he scores a hat trick in the second half then again on Sunday he will still be the guy to lump everything on when something goes wrong.

 

Does 1 good thing for every 10 bad.

Ed doesn't look interested, been like that for weeks, he's been fkn hopeless at taking men on of late.

I know he has the look of someone who isn't full of energy, but just seems everything is off with him.
