Considering that Lennon has been in charge of the reserves this season, who do we think will break into the first team now that he has control?
Personally I havent kept track of our reserves since the league was scrapped but would like to see more of McGinn and McCourt, also Misun at left back.
Discuss Reserve players breaking through? in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.

I think Paul Slane could get some time as well.

Paul McGowan had a miserable game yesterday. But after he performed so well against St Johnstone, it seemed a given that he could at least perform against the buddies.
To be quite honest I'm not sure anyone on the Reserves should be playing on the first team, with the exception of of course Big Jos, Rasmussen, McGinn, and McCourt. I don't even like Zaluska on the first team. After yesterday, who could? Boruc should have been in goal and not on the bench. -
I'm not a fan of the wee guy, but he has shown some good sign's of being a decent player at times.
He wasn't involved in the game at all last night simply because of the long balls that kept getting belted up front. They were basically getting punted over his head at all times.
Furthermore, there's not alot of players last night who didnt have a miserable game last night. -
was at the shamrock rovers game couple of weeks back, lenny brought a team over, very impressed with young irish kid, richie towell think his name was

McGowan has been Lennon's best player this season, which (for me anyway) will still never be good enough for a first team spot.

After what I head about McGowan on returning to Celtic Park the other night following the St Mirren defeat I don't want to see the boy wear the hoops again.
By that I mean the fact he told a Celtic fan he'd "punch his c**t in" for having a go at him for the scoreline. If you can't handle criticism then professional football's not for you lad, especially not at Celtic.
Would like to see McCourt and McGinn step in but it's a matter of fitness I guess. Other than that I guess the reserves/Under 19s will have to bide their time until a new manager comes in permanently in the summer. -
mcgowen was at morton 2years ago and i heard he was idiot then giving it im the big man from celtic.
-
McGowan is a mid table SPL player at best...No doubts he would be a star for the likes of Motherwell, Hearts Hibs etc but a Celtic first team player?? no way

I remember seeing McGowan at Morton and I personally feel he was round about his level there, when I see him playing for Celtic he just looks very out of place.

Going by the score in the last reserve game against motherwell none of them are good enough, i have it from a very good sorce who was at the game that the best man on the park was michael mcglinchey for motherwell who scored a wonder goal on his return to his old stomping ground how good must that have felt for that young guy to come back and turn over your old bosses.

Maybe Simon Ferry.
He is on loan right now but he will maybe get a chance next year. If he doesn't he will have to go 'cos he is 22/23 now. -
Just from the way Lenny talks about Charlie Grant , I feel he could be fast tracked into the first team , even though he's barely a month back playing for the reserves , and even if just to make one single sub appearance before the season is out.. Having been out for 3 seasons it's probably going to have to happen for him within the next season and I get the feeling Lenny sees a lot of himself in Grant and would like to get him involved in first team football..

All have potential to be first team regulars in the future.
