I think they were the first ever winners of it and certainly played in a few others if memory serves me well.

Was there not some issue with it years ago with referees clamping down on challenges I'm sure when it first came on people were flying in with hard tackles then they stopped that and it wasn't the same .People became bored with it .think that's what happened

It was fun at the time but I couldn't see modern players liking it

Probably better that way, also considering how much Celtic players earn today compared to 30 years ago I doubt the current players would be interested, the money wouldn't be there for them to risk any injury.

Loved it at the time. Would like to see something similar brought in for Scotland again, possibly for the under 23's during winter shut down.

Have fond memories watching it on the couch with my dad as a kid, Was one of my earliest experiences watching Celtic and then going outside to play football pretending to be John Collins.

Would like it for the younger player and for any first team players struggling for match fitness who arent being picked due to their lack of fitness

We complain about players having to play on artificial pitches, like Livi etc, so how/why would we want our players to be playing in this :43: or is it to be played on out door grass pitches :giggle1:

I remember this on the telly, but not the Tennent's Sixes. I used to enjoy watching the masters.

If not the Sixes then maybe the Masters as some on here have suggested but make it that the money raised from tickets and tv money go to charity. Not the huns charity as that goes directly to the huns NOT their charities.
Maybe a few charities such as Downs Syndrome Scotland, aother charity that deals with Dementia since this is something that affects footballers and then MND.
