Never remember him playing but i don't think many do either :smiley-laughing002: I was like 3-4 years old when he came to Celtic and my dad always made jokes of how * he was. I suppose with a name like that we should've seen it coming :icon_mrgreen:

"Scheidt now coming down the channel...oh!...oh dear, that's quite a messy situation we have here...Scheidt, slowly making his away along and suddenly, out of nowhere he is taken completely from behind and thrown, all ends up, off the pitch and into a big sweaty heap..."

He'd get a game in the current team.

    :fear:

Was he really that bad? He wasn't given a chance really.

If big Erik started next week and had a stinker, then got an injury and was sold by a new manager in the summer I think most would say he was hard done by.

He was that bad he would not get a game in the current defence .
The sad thing is we paid a lot of money for him .
He was that bad he made Cifti look like an absolute bargain.

Indeed, Scheidt later admitted that following an umimpressive showing in a pre-season friendly O'Neill had told him "I like footballers who are not like you", further adding "I like footballers who play well.

See tbh I don't think it's his fault he was such a flop he should never have been here in the first place. You have to question the scouting that went on with this one

Still remember being in primary school and knowing this * was a dud. Rafael Scheidt :56: we must have got pounded for that yin back then.

Thats quite interesting about Brazilians being given caps to facilitate big money moves to Europe. A fair few shiters seem to get games for the Brazil NT from time to time, wouldnt suprise me if it was, and still is, happening.

It does yea. Argentina do the same. They'll often play friendlies between the two of them for this purpose.

I was at his debut in a u21 game vs livingston. Knew then he wasn't a player. He got tore to shreds left right and centre. Did not look like a pro footballer.

It would be a rare occasion for O'Neill to actually turn up at training.

I don't rule out he being called up to the national team under false pretenses but he was really at very least supposed to be good enough for Celtic. Was one of the best defenders in the brazilian league back then. The guy from BBC who writes about South American football called it a fantastic coup for Celtic and that he would rock big time. There is a video of him recently laughing about it when someone asked what was the biggest * he ever wrote

Apparently the last straw that got him out of Celtic was getting humiliatedly dribbled by a youngster in a friendly against BRAY WANDERERS.

No, you are speaking of a certain moneymaker competition created by Conmebol between Brazil and Argentina where both are only allowed to field players from their respective leagues as it falls outside an international friendly date. Was scrapped recently due to fixture congestion and nobody giving a *.

Believe it or not, these * playing for Brazil now are indeed supposed to be the best we have.

Bar Celtic I only watch ice hockey and handball nowadays.

His highlights video was clips from games where gremio got humped? Seriously who was in charge of scouting this guy
