Lovely to see that ‘White Cone’ tested Covid free and was able to make the trip.

In all fairness the Scottish Government has been pretty clear that football clubs shouldn't be expecting fans any time soon. Not sure that can be described as stalling.

Can you imagine Sevco win this. They would have it all over their official channels online etc. Would actually be funny to see.

CELTIC will continue their pre-season preparations with a number of matches against top-class French opposition.

Neil Lennon’s side will take part in the Veolia Trophy at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, playing Nice on Thursday, July 16 and Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday, July 18.

THERE WILL BE NO TICKETING FOR THESE MATCHES AND ONLY LIMITED INVITATIONS WILL BE MADE TO LOCAL SUPPORTERS.

CELTIC SUPPORTERS ARE ASKED NOT TO TRAVEL TO LYON.

The Hoops head out to France following a week training at Loughborough University, and take on Nice next Thursday (KO: 5.15pm Celtic Park time).

Two days later, on Saturday, July 18, the Scottish champions will face Olympique Lyonnais (KO: 7.45pm Celtic Park time)

Celtic’s games against Nice and Olympique Lyonnais will be available live to Celtic TV subscribers outside the UK and Ireland. All tournament matches will be broadcast live within the UK and Ireland on Premier Sports.

Then on Tuesday, July 21, Celtic head to the French capital to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Parc des Princes (KO: 6pm Celtic Park time).

The three preseason games on Premier Sports is one where the club could have done a deal with the broadcaster to allow those paying for season tickets to get access free of charge. Small gestures of that nature would really show people parting with £500-700 for season tickets are recognised.

Given the long hiatus of Celtic you will probably find that sales for this will be reasonably high. I suspect the club will be looking to generate as much additional revenue from avenues like this as possible.
