Howe could easily get an EPL gig, albeit probably a lower end club, but nevertheless if we can get this over the line it would be a really good appointment, even at a young age he has a lot of experience and a reputation for attention to detail and hard work, must say i'm excited at the prospect of him becoming our new manager.

He’s consistently been one of the favourites for the England job as well. Very highly respected down south.

Makes logical sense to him surely, specially if he is still friendly with Rodgers who will surely have had a chat with him.

Two years at Celtic, maybe a third, and you win some trophies and medals, learn a different style of game and get the winning mentality. Next job is top half of the EPL table if you want it.
His reputation may not increase during his time here, but his experience will and he will be more sought after than he will be sitting on his * for another 6 months at home.

Happy to bring him in, best we can aim for in the realistic world. Just hope everything else that happens after his appointment is to the benefit of the club and not just to Howe - so that when he leaves, we arent * again and have to plump for a Lennon, Keane, Kennedy level of appointment.

This really needs to be us on our way, where we bring in a Maresca type assistant/coach who steps in to the role once Howe leaves, churning out good talent.

One thing i really like about him is that he comes across very well, i could see players wanting to give it everything for him on the park, i think it would be good for him and us.

This is a great chance for him, would be his biggest managerial job so far, maybe he want's a change from being involved in a relegation dogfight, whole different expectation level at Celtic, a test of his capabilites, but one that i'm sure he will relish.

True. But that will mean selling Ajer unfortunately I think. Eddy’s fee will still be decent but if it’s true PSG are due 40% and then what we payed for him we won’t be much better off. But we have money regardless who we sell. We will need to be putting out over £20m and that’s a bare minimum.

That would be decent. Also should be due a bit for Dembele although his price has dropped about £20m in the last year or so.

I think we can still get a Dembele type fee for Edouard..

Christie I'd be looking for 9-10 similar to Armstrong..

Then you look at how many will be going out thw door wage wise..

    Broony 20+
    Duffy 30+
    Laxalt 25+
    Kenny 15/20+
    Barkas 15+ and a fee
    Ajeti 20/25+ and a fee
Griffiths some sort of wage cut or loan
    Mo 25+
    Klimala 10+
    Hendry 8+ and a fee
    Boli 10+ and a fee
    Shved 8+ and a fee
    Rogic 15/20+ and a fee
    Bitton 15/20+ and a fee

Looking at easily over 200 grand in wages going out the door and 40 mill in fee's and that's me no taking in to account Ajer likely being sold in the summer..

    Edouard
    Christie
    Barkas
    Ajeti
    Hendry
    Shved
    Rogic
    Bitton

I think realistically we'll get a fee for all of those and it'll be at least 40 mill..

    No excuses..

Looks like it's gonna be Howe now. (Brown cow).

I think Howe would apply the same type of application as the rat did, players who have worked under him say he is meticulous in his detail and approach is based on hard work and discipline.

We badly need organization from top to bottom, things need to be run in a more professional manner.

Wild that some people don't think this is a ridiculously good appointment. If I was slippy G I'd run now whilst my stock is higher than it should be and take a championship job, he's not winning the league up here again if we get Howe in.

Watched a video of him this morning explaining his 3-0 win against Chelsea. He said that they had tried things in the past against Chelsea and it didn't work so they tried a new approach.

Did we see any changes under the last regime? It'll be so refreshing to see a manager actually try to change things when things aren't working out.

It's his attention to fine details that excites me. Really looking forward to seeing us under him.

He's not winning the league here even if we appoint a manager with half the potential of Howe. This season was a total blip, if we'd replaced Lennon last year with just a half decent manager we'd have saved it.

Agreed. Howe left Bournemouth on 1st August last year...imagine if Lennon came in as a true interim manager and left then and got him in then.
