Huge gamble, especially with it being a £30M league next season, Clarke would be the far safer bet and he already schooled Gerrard on many occasions on a Killie budget, with a Celtic budget Clarke would deal with Sevco no problem whilst punching above our weight in Europe by making us far more solid at the back

Good thing we’d be appointing him as head coach and not manager then eh?

Stop trying to be smart, he'd still be in charge of team selections, formations, tactics etc, ironically also the job of a manager.

Head coach is ironically not the same job as a manager under a DOF

You’re struggling. You’re yet to make a valid point

Would Maresca be in charge of team selections, formations, tactics, systems etc, yes or no?

As head coach, yes. All of the above fall under the remit of that role

We heard the same argument for Neil Lennon when he was appointed permanently as well. The safer bet.

Aye it has changed drastically. So much that a manager is obsolete.

Was he *, everyone with a brain cell knew Forster made him what he was as Celtic manager, sacked by Bolton & Hibs told it's own story with Lennon, as well as the horrific run of cup exits under him in his first spell and the bottle jobs at Ibrox to win the league, Inverness etc.

Steve Clarke achieved things with West Brom, Kilmarnock & Scotland that Lennon could never match, trophies alone are not the only barometer of success in football

Poorly worded but yes, that would also form part of the role of manager, but only part.

    Your argument continues to confuse.

You’ve rhymed off the things that fall solely under the role Head coach, essentially matters on the pitch. All of which he has senior experience of and would excel at IMO.

You’re saying he has no senior experience as a manager and I agree. But that’s not what we’re after, thats not what is needed for this role.

We’re bigger than Barca who gave Pep his first job in senior football? Bigger than Zidane and Real?

Yeah and they both had the freaks of football Messi & Ronaldo in their teams, alongside many other world class talents, not a bad help that
