I was the same but when you compare his approach to the game compared to Lennon it’s a no brainier he’d be a big step up for us.Doing wonders at West Ham.

 

He is mate. I think that's what he means. Clarke came out in the media about the Sectarian abuse he suffered as Killie manager ( quite rightly so.) Which I assume is what he is getting at.

 

We should have a weekly committee of Social Media Steins and Keyboard Klopps to pick the team for every game! What a riot that would be!

Personally I would want Howe as 1st choice then someone in the mould of a Montella or Van Bommell who's had a bit of experience at a decent European team , whoever it is needs their own background team

Pretty much - I heard this rumour about Hodgson considering retiring a month ago from a friend of mine who has been an ST holder at Selhurst Park for 40 years. If its true - Howe is the man. He wouldn't have to move (less than a 2hr drive) and he's the ideal candidate. I don't know if he was ever seriously considering us but I've crossed him off my list.

Can’t believe I started this thread and 109 pages later... Lennon is still here.

Not even a statement from the Club to say he’s going at the end of the season.

What a nightmare.

 

I know odds mean very little, but Roberto Martinez has been slashed over the past few weeks. Highly unlikely of course but I'd snap the hand off for him.

 

Think the board might announce something before the zombie game and try and take the spotlight off them .

 

I see a lot of 'anyone but Lennon' type comments kicking about. I don't think that's the way we should be looking at it. For us to bounce back quickly from this * show of a season, we MUST find the right coaching team for the job, with the right setup to clear the cobwebs away and start to install a bit of belief back into what is undoubtedly a talented group of players.

As much as we all want to see Lennon gone, and as angry as we all are at how it's still going, finding that coaching team will require a bit of patience. And yes I know, we're sick to death of having to be patient with everything, mainly getting transfers done.

Whether the board are up to the task is highly doubtful considering their track record, but it's pretty much nailed on that if we just get any old * in just to get Lennon out, then we'll be in danger of creating an even bigger problem with quickfire changes taking us back the way.

Whoever the next manager is, it has to be the right man to take us through the next 3 years at least.
