This is precisely the kind of 'next step' we need to be taking in our transfer strategy. If it takes £5m, so be it. It's not as if it's being spent on a 29 year-old. We could make triple that money from selling him within 2 years or so.

It's all v well spending £1-3m to sell on for £7-10m, but, if the scouts are sure, we should now be looking to occasionally spend £5m, to then sell for £15m+.

I'm all for being a 'selling club', but only if there's tangible progress.

Emil Bergstrom. CB at Djurgardens in Sweden. Just made his debut for the national side this year, over 111 appearances and only 22, captain of the side as well.

Any of our Swedish/Scandinavian residents have any info on him? I came across him on transfermarkt and his value was in amongst Alexander Milosovic and Helander, wondering if he is as good as them.

was gonna make a thread but there isn't really that much to the story

Steven Fletcher is the striker Celtic want to lead then into the Champions League
CELTIC have identified Steven Fletcher as the player they want as their marquee summer signing in a move that would signal a significant change in the club's transfer policy.

Fletcher is not the type of striker we should be looking at.
Record is average and he'll be on a hefty wage.

Just don't see what some see in fletcher. He's just not that good.

Record has us (and hearts) with Ashdod defender Oshaniwa.

Don't see it myself. But we were linked in January.

Not noticed or even sure if he's playing with morocco in this Toulon tournament but morocco have some quality youngsters coming through. Boy upfront looks class. Same with costa rica and Mexico..

    France are unreal though..

We'd struggle getting any of these at this tournament with the amount of scouts about and the way these countries have stood out, at times..

Celtic Underground are saying on Twitter that we've spoken to Hooper.

They're usually well off the mark with rumours but worth a mention.

He was on over £200,000 per week I think. What can we offer him? £20,000?

If he's only going to cost £4, we should go for him. :icon_mrgreen::smiley-laughing002:

I don't think Hooper would go back to us, he will probably want to stay in England
