The young Falkirk boy Sibbald looks a good player,if Ronny wants more Scottish players he could do worse than the young lad, would do well under Ronny as would John McGinn.

Discussed it in another thread the other day. If he was under £1m I'd take a gamble. Proven domestic goalscorer.

Would only be a gamble in europe. In the league he would continue to thrive. How much would be pay for a guaranteed 20 gl striker 1.5/2 mil? Really a no brainer for me :50:

Ole Selnæs, defensive midfielder at Rosenborg, is a great prospect. Maybe give him a year or two in Norway first to develop

I can see the argument for him but 100% no for me.

There's been plenty of goal scoring strikers in the SPL good enough to come to Celtic eg) Skippy and then others that will never be good enough eg) John Sutton.

I reckon Rooney is better than Sutton but ultimately not good enough. You can see similarities with someone like Griffiths, the difference between them though is that Griffiths is a technically good footballer. I don't think Rooney is personally.

A big fat no to Rooney.

To echo the above, Michael Higdon springs to mind as well as one who has scored for fun here that I wouldn't take.To use a different example Murphy is scoring for fun in the championship as well this season, doesn't mean I'd take him back.

We have a 20+ goal a season SPL striker in Griffiths, even the much maligned Anthony Stokes...his record ain't too shabby played as an out and out forward yet folk want him punted. In this formation Rooney would suffer, we need our sole striker to offer alot more than just the ability to score, the all-round game needs to be on point. His isn't.

We need to aim for better in that department, for me anyway. Aye, it might mean getting more duds but one of these days we will find a striker who is worth the risk. I thought Guidetti was the answer to our prayers however it appears not to be the case..who knows, still time yet.

With Załuska off in the summer, Josh Meekings as a replacement?

Would love to take Bamford up here from Chelsea 21 and a proven goalscorer now for the last 3 years

If we were looking to the Championship I'd love Ighalo from Watford.

Aye I was going to suggest him but his price will have rocketed now.

I'd also still take Matej Vydra.

I'd love for us to sign Scott Allan, massive fan of his. By a million miles the best player in the championship and I think Ronny could help him become even better.

Would like to see us bring in Bain, sibbald and mcginn into the club. if both vvd and denayer leave rasmus thelander or sviatchenko wouldnt be too bad replacements from denmark. would also like a new lb but since shinnie signed up to the sheep, havent a scooby who to bring in

After the game yesterday, I can't believe we let Shinnie sign for Aberdeen on a bosman. He would have provided excellent cover and competition for Emilio.

He'd cost more than that, he'll have allsorts after him after his performances this Season.

Folk are over-estimating how good he is based on 1 game.

    Emilio is much, much, better.

Maybe some people are, I don't know, but I certainly am not. He's impressed me practically every time I've seen him play. Shinnie's positioning is better than Emilio's in my opinion and this is a massively integral part of being a good full back. He times his runs forward extremely well and is a great crosser of the ball when he gets into areas to deliver.

Emilio gets caught out of position too often and caught unaware of his surroundings. I believe that having a left back of Shinnie's qualities would provide real competition for Emilio and push him to consistantly be at the top of his game and if his form drops or he gets injured, we would have a ready made replacement whereas right now we have no one.

Signing Shinnie on a free transfer to at least cover and provide competition in an area we are lacking in would have been an astute signing.
