Trippier would be excellent. Seen him a few times and his crossing is great, he'd be a very good signing. Not sure if he'd be out of our price range if they go down - it's only Burnley who are punching above their weight even being in the EPL at all.

Although I can see the likes of West Ham or Crystal Palace going for him.

Trippier is a really good player, and has been doing well there for a few years now. We probably need to sign his type before they've played in the Premier League. We are viewed as a step down from any Premier League team nowadays, and he can earn double what we would pay.

I think next year we should punt -

    Zaluska
    Ambrose
    Wakaso (away back)
    Tonev (away back)
    Stokes
    Guidetti (away back)
    Pukki
    Balde
    Mulgrew

Then I'd bring in a young highly rated goalie and give him the cup games next season

Denayer back if we can and if we cant then I would try and tempt City give us Rekik on loan to allow him to adapt to the British game because the dutch league isnt going to get him ready for stepping up at City. If not him then a ball playing centre half. Seem Joe Gomez of Charlton maybe getting looked at.

Im happy to go for Danny Wilson as back up the now.

Next we will defos need a back up left back. I cant believe we have had 3/4 years with no back up left back. People ive seen us linked with on twitter and that the likes of Garbutt (long shot) and Ali Adnan.

Then I would get a couple of young back up midfielders. So if we could get John McGinn and say Bakkali who we have been linked with then we will be laughing. Leaves us with Brown, Bitton, McGinn, GMS, Johansen, Armstrong, Commons, Bakkali and Forrest. So two players for every position really. Maybe look at Kristen Ajaer (who I havent seen play but is 16 years old and in the same mould as Bitton/ Busquets)

The number 1 target if we dont lose Van Dijk is getting a striker. Griffiths has been brilliant but he should only be a back up for a team like us. We need someone in the mould of Hooper again. We could maybe look at two previous targets in Hosiner or Finnbogason who havent blossumed elsewhere and get them in. I think Scepovic could be a good plan B for us with a full preseason under his belt.

Edit: Also I would have all our scouts at everygame in the under 21 Euros championship because thats where I and we seen Johansen and Bitton play so well.

Ali Adnan would be an unreal signing but I'm sure he's only being linked to us because of how highly rated he is in a certain video game franchise (although it's spot on more often than not). :smiley-laughing002:

    @mickcfc91

Paul The Tim seems to think we're getting Rekik on loan next season. I'd be chuffed with that. Been playing at PSV for a couple of years and he's already played for the Netherlands.

My only thing with Rekik is that he is a left sided centre back which may pose a problem in putting him and Van dijk in the same defence.

Dont get me wrong they should be good enough to play either but the left side is definetely their favoured side.

    Rekik would make sense.

Not better than Denayer mind you but good enough.

    Ridiculously overrated.

Only hit double figures once in his career and even then it was about 11 goals.

    21 goals in 44 league games.:smiley-laughing002:

I'd take him but we couldn't afford him.

Ah, well I was out by 10, but still for the money he has cost sides he is not worth it. Much like alot of players.

He just reminds me of a faster, better Kevin Doyle.

Aye, the money he's went for is ridiculous.

I suppose you could make the argument he'd be 'guaranteed' to score up here but his finishing in general is guff.

Not a guy you can rely on to take that one chance you need, like Hooper for example.

Virgil is right footed. I don't think he'd have a problem playing there. In fact, I think the main reason he plays on the left side is that Ambrose and Denayer are less comfortable there.

Yeah I know he is right footed but defenders still favour sides in terms of the way they tackle, pass the ball, their positional sense and everything. If VVD had the choice he would play the left side.

    Seen this on another celtic website;

Also in attendance were Ajax, Glasgow Celtic, Malaga staff who were there to run the rule over FC Porto defender Diego Reyes. The young centre back has found game time tough to come by in Portugal after his 7 million euro move 2 years ago. Whilst people are well aware of his talent, particularly his positioning and passing, he is preparing for the next chapter in his career. Glasgow Celtic and Malaga, both of whom have been tracking Reyes, are preparing summer bids for the classy defender. It is believed FC Porto would be willing to accept 2 million euro to transfer the defender.

Was highly rated when he joined Porto would be right up our street at that price.

Diego Reyes would be an excellent signing.
