We really wanted him before I'm sure?

Would take him in a heartbeat. Quick, attacking and would work well in this side with Jota..

Don't know how good he is defensively and coming in to centre mid but he'd be a big upgrade on Taylor..

A left back with quality would improve us massively. It’s the one area when all our players are fit that we are still lacking. I don’t mind Scales too much, and he might well turn into a cracking player, but he is still not quite at the level required just now. Taylor isn’t, and will never be at the level required.

Huge upgrade on taylor if its sessegnon, very direct, pacey, him and jota would be unreal on the left.

Knows O’Riley they came through the ranks at fulham get him on the phone to him.

Would change it right up for us..

Juranovic and a Sessengon on the other would give frighten team's with their pace and overlapping Jota and say Maeda/Abada etc..

Feel like we're "linked" with Sessegnon every window.

Aye but then I thought Carter-Vickers was poor defensively for Spurs....and he's unreal for us..

I think at our level, he'd be a realy good signing for what we need....which is someone who can get up and down, offer a lot going forward and be decent enough at the back..

Initial thoughts would be that he's well out of our reach but it looks like he's only had one appearance this season...

Wouldn't be a transfer window if we didn't get our hopes up!

As said he gives cover at lb but can play lw also, covers 2 very important positions and isnt getting a sniff at spurs.

    please get it done!

Could also see someone like joe bryan at fulham coming in , behind the american boy robinson at fulham but rember seeing him in play off final couple year back and he scored , looked good , also has scottish background

He would be a cracking signing for us, probably out of our reach long term but could easily be an option anywhere up that left side whether left back or left wing. He’s quick, good on the ball and a fairly intelligent player. Easily capable of inverting of playing full back or creating and scoring as a winger.

The big down side would be we would be developing him for Spurs as no chance we are signing him long term. However given where we are this season with the rebuild and complete lack of a proper scouting set up, which still badly needs sorting he could be a very good stock gap while we look for a long term fix in the summer.

Yep. Would be a dynamic left hand side that wouldn't be targeted and team's would fear...instead of doubling up Jota..

No sure how much there is to this but we've definitely been interested before and they'll have seen how much Carter-Vickers has progressed here (although they better sell him to us)..

Don't think we can be too fussy with developing another team's player with what's on the line and the clear weak spot in our side that's needing sorted pronto..

We've had a really good window so far and the majority of our signings are class, and long term. We can revisit perms for a left back and a winger if it can't be done in this window. Just getting at least one more in though (a left back the priority)....has to happen..

You’d have to think that he’s heard plenty about the club, the style of football and the culture from CCV, Hart and O’Reily. If it’s true, I can’t imagine he’ll turn us down and will be on his way up here, would be a cracking loan.

On that, need O’Reily to get in Doak’s ear and let him know being in the juniors at a Premier League club is not all it’s cracked up to be. Doak will be much better off here as it’s very apparent that he has the ability to make the step from youth football to the first team, without needing a loan.
