We naturally assume that spending xmillion on a foreign player means he's going to be a 'player' and turn our noses up at Scottish/British equivalents. ' He's not Celtic class' is a term I see banded about time and time again when linked to Scottish players but most recently we have wasted millions on absolute dross on equivalent foreign players.

From what I've seen so far, Klimala is in the Balde/Scepovic/Bayo bracket, an absolute waste money. He has the composure of a newborn Wildebeest!
When you consider that we turned our noses up Dykes and signed this guy that itself is it's own tradgedy.

 

* they're paid thousands to be professionals and play under pressure. That chance last night was obviously a first time volley, Livi players surrounding him inches away, and he * it up big time.

Good strikers bury it first chance, he hesitated....cost us points, not Celtic class never will be.......who ever scouted him at 3.5m shot be taken out and shot, definitely brown envelopes involved in that transfer..

Must have been several brown envelopes given some of the dross we signed the last few years

 

I was banging the Nisbet drum last season as a 4th choice, back-up type striker..

I kept saying he was better than Shankland and still think that..

There's no doubt that he'd have been a good option for us as a back-up striker..

Quick. Can run the channels. Scores goals. Decent size. Can play as the 9 on his own or in a two. Massive Tim..

I reckon we'll eventually go for him for what it's worth but will cost us a lot more now..

As for Klimala. I still like him but he isn't ready to lead the line for us as a main striker...and he's the type/at an age where he needs to go away and be playing every week..

I'd maybe look to get him out on loan to Killie. They need a striker after Brophy going. Doesn't have to move away. Can play every week. Still playing and adjusting to our top flight where we can monitor his progress..

You can argue he's hardly had a chance but he's our most used substitute.

I don't think Ajeti is any better, and we should have seen that coming with not breaking into west ham.

I don't think these players would ever sell for more than what we paid for them unfortunately... Funny how we act cheap to home grown players, i.e Mcginn but splash the cash for these duds

 

He's clearly low in confidence, not surprising since he never got a sniff near the team after a good performance vs Lille. Still like the look of him but again he's a player that will need consistent game time to really kick on. Either loan him out or play him.

 

The time we * about getting a new manager the zombies will be free to get the Scottish talent in the league like nisbet it's * depressing those at the top of the club can't make a decision .

 

I believe every player we have bar Duffy should get a second chance under a proper coach.

 

I may be wrong, but I don't think he will make it here.

Ajeti has scored game winning goals and has assists to his name, Klimala hasn't and doesn't. Klimala has only scored in games where we're already winning. Ajeti has a higher shots on target percentage (78% to 67%) and a much higher shots to goals percentage (56% to Klimala's 25%). Tbh, I'm a bit disappointed with Ajeti, I feel he could have contributed more often, but I think there's an obvious gap in quality between him and Klimala.

You do wonder what will happen with him. Must be hard watching from the sidelines constantly.

 

At least get him loaned out in January..

 

He'll float around the squad until his contract expires or he's sent on loan back to Poland or somewhere else. He's never going to be good enough to be a starter.

 

I'd like him to get some game time to see if there is a better player there than has been shown but I agree that what you've said it the mostly likely thing to happen.

 

Aye at least give him a run with Ajeti in a 2 for a sustained period in these dead rubbers..

2 player's who will be here next season most likely..

 

That's what I would like to see too but think it unlikely given Edouard is the best striker we have.
