Was against this deal to bring him here because I would rather give our players a chance, would send him back if I'm honest at the end of the season.

We need to be giving our players a game and our youth not progressing other sides players and he will leave anyway.

Had one good game and like always people went OTT with him.

He needs a top class coach/manager or he'll become a total mediocre 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' been player.
Don't think I've ever seen such. One dimensions player ever. Seriously.

Was just thinking the same thing when reading someone else's comments about Roberts being predictable for always moving inside.....Mclaughlin suffered from the same problem.

Will never, ever, slag him for trying.

At least he's trying to be creative and do something. Aye he needs to brush up his decision making but he's talented and he wants badly to do good things for the team every time he gets the ball.

I wish a few others had his attitude.

Had a poor game but will be a big player for us next season as we chase the 6. Will be better playing in a team full of confidence and optimism.

He's trying. I will give him that. He really needs to add some different tricks to his repertoire though. At the moment he does the same thing EVERY time he gets the ball. He picks up the ball, tries to cut inside along the edge of the box and get a shot on goal. Sevco quickly sussed it out last week and Ross County had it sussed again today. Teams are just blocking it off now and it's making Roberts look quite an ineffective player in all honesty. Somebody needs to tell him his right foot isn't just for standing on and that's it's ok to try and beat a full-back on the outside occasionally.

I'd switch him over to the left wing for the next match. Force him to do something different.

Was unimpressed with him today, the amount of supporting runs Luatig made only for Roberts to ignore him and run inside to lose possession was ridiculous.

Actually seen Lustig standing shaking his head at him at one point.

Imagine the potential if he still had both feet.

Symptomatic of the way we treat wingers these days that this lad's thread is hovering at the top of Celtic Chat.

One of the last players who should be getting stick today.

Unfair to judge ability given present circumstances.

However, if coached and managed properly he could be an entertaining player to watch.

Exactly. Full team plays * but the 19 year old winger that has been the only entertaining thing about the team for months gets pelters because he had a poor game.

He's playing as an individual just now because that's how this Celtic team play. You can't blame him for that.

I think he is on a different wavelength from the rest the now so it looks like he is struggling purely because of how * some are around him the now

18 year old and clearly playing with ability and potential way above some of what we have.
Guys got a lot to learn but he will be a great wee player.
Lets be honest we do not have anyone on the right wing that is more ready than he is. Forrest is gash and who is next in the pecking order for right wing?
With some hard nosed coaching he will develop a lot more and be a great player for us next year.

Think the boy may be suffering from the media and hype and thinking he needs to carry this team, because clearly no one else is trying to do anything for the team (tierney excluded). Guys got all the weight of being our creative outlet at the age of 18 and still learning the game. He will learn the idea of using his right foot, not always cutting in and even using the overlapping player when he has a manager who will actually be hard on him and tell him to * well utilise such things. I half imagine he is currently just told to go out and enjoy football "its not about winning its about taking part" and then feeling like he needs to be some messiah to us at the same time.

Again he is 18(ok someone may tell me he turned 19 a week ago) and for his age he is a fantastic talent.
