I was hoping he’d get a chance here next season, came into his own against Betis. Looks more of a centre back than right back as well feel he wasn’t in his strongest position either.

Yet another clear message to the board to stop buying players.
1 appearance and punted and has never been close to making a break thru. Mite be a decent player and showed up OK v Betis but doesn't fit the way the manager wants to play. No great loss, I'd expect Shaw, Scales and Mccarthy to all he away by the summer. Yet more money wasted by * on our board thinking there some defacto director of football. At least for the noment Nicholson seems smart enough to keep out the way

But we'll probably make money on him?

Over the course of last few years boars have wasted far more money on these types of signings than we'll make on Urhoghide

What if we made money on each one of these types of signings via loan fees and eventual sales? By these types of signings I assume you mean young guys that cost almost nothing like O'Connor, Connell, Shaw etc? Every now and then you might get a Frimpong and I don't think any of them have made a dent in our budget.

If they take up their option to buy in the summer then yes we would.

Has anyone seen the fee they’d have to pay?

But even if we perpetually loaned him until the end of his contact we would probably make money in loan fees. Hard to say exactly knowing the exact details but we're either making a small loss or profit. Definitely big profit if you throw in a Frimpong once in a while.

I just think these signings aren't the issue unless they're being shoehorned into the team. The problem is the high money wages and fees on players like Ajeti and Barkas.

I have not but would be surprised if it was not at least in the 1-2m range.

Very fair points there especially about the money * away on the likes of Barkas and Ajeti.

No I'm referring to the guys that are clearly signed without much input from manager. Obvious examples under Ange would be Mccarthy, Scales and Urhoghide. Guys that clearly don't fit managers style.
Mccarthys wages and length of contract would mean we would need to bring in a * of a lot of loan fees to cover his potential £4m deal. Going back to previous managers the obvious one would be Shved, another £2m+ wasted. We ain't claiming back that £6m on loan fees from queen's Park and Motherwell.
There seems to have finally been a shift with appointment of Ange and Nicholson along with the removal of that fat arrogant * Lawwell who thought he could do whatever he wanted, whether that was sign players or appoint assistant managers.
Bottom line is manager should be in charge of signing players not some accountant with ideas above his station

Completely agree with McCarthy and to an extent Scales but I would like to think that Ange had the final say on him and he won't cost us much long term.

However on Osaze in particular, I wouldn't want the club to stop trying to pick up young talent for next to nothing while we don't have a manager.

Wouldn’t be too sure of that, we got £13m odd for Frimpong

Nothing against that type of signing providing they fit within our style; Frimpong being obvious example. But I think majority of support looked at Urhoghide in preseason and knew he wasn't suited to our style of play. The fact he got 1 appearance in a dead rubber before being punted backs that up.

No I didn’t, it was a direct reply to how much moneys been wasted on ‘these types’. Frimpong’s fee we got for him alone eclipses how much we’ve spent and he’s one of ‘these types’

Frimpong isn't one of "these types". Was clearly referring to players brought in without managers say so, such as Shved or guys like Mccarthy, Scales, Urhoghide that don't fit within managers style of play.
Neither of these apply to Frimpong
