Yeah, it's a pretty amazing story; a man of profound character and composure to deal with all the pressures that face any professional athlete and excel at this, but on top of that the open hostility and racism that faced him all the while carrying the expectation of basically an entire race, and opening the door for all that followed him.

I suppose it depends on whether you believe it is a coincidence or deliberate that he has chosen this week to have a go at the city of Liverpool.

I don't know the answer, however I wouldn't put it past him.

Not me bud...he was editor of the sun during hillsborough and then he writes another article clearly slating the working class of Liverpool again (regarding the salary levels and drugs). The anniversary connection may be meaningless but he has used the Barkley incident as a tool to have another go at them.

On this day in 2008, Nakamura scored a stunning goal and Hesselink scored a late winner over Rangers on their way to securing their third consecutive title

Rhubarb Ronnie made what some consider as the greatest Lamb Curry of all time!! Parsley Phillips said at the fantastic banquet that day April 16th 2000..."Lots of toilets have had it,wind will be produced that will send sailing boats around the globe, but my * it was worth it,look at the faces if the numerous guests, even Tommy Tittle a very proud Vegan has had 3 large portions!!"

On this day in 2005, Bellamy scored a stunning winner as Celtic came from 2-0 down to beat Aberdeen 3-2

The swerve on the ball was vicious. It's the sweetest connection I've ever saw!

    Have you read Nakamura's book?

Lennon got Naka pumped up before the game and gave him a fist pump from the side of the pitch at the start of the game. Lennon inspired that goal.
