Far better in the second half. Our tactics second half helped. We sat far too deep in the first and he was going through the motions. Don't think he'll start in the cup final, and rightly so.

I disagree, in the first he used the ball expertly and was one of the few who tried to inject a bit of tempo into the game.

I think the new manager needs to get this guy playing again. There is a gem of a footballer there, he can do everything as a midfielder.
Just need to get him fit and motivated.

Fair enough. Thought him and Bitton were poor in the 1st half. Hearts showed a lot more energy in there till we pressed them in the last 45.

Think they both played higher in the 2nd and pressed better especially Bitton, which made a noticeable difference. But, his passing was good all game.

He’s such a frustrating player and he takes a lot less responsibility when Broonie is playing too.

Thought he played well today. Looked like he had shaken whatever was bothering him mentally off his shoulders.

Quite shocked to see others saying he played well today. I thought he was poor again. Playing against a second string diet Huns team at home, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for him to step up and show his class. Some nice passes here and there but for a 4.5 million pound player I thought his performance was underwhelming.

As I’ve said before, he’s a top player on his day but he doesn’t perform consistently. Would be happy to see him go this summer. Don’t think we will get anywhere near the reported 15 million which Porto were happy to pay in January. If we get anything north of 8 million, cash in!

The quality of opposition is immaterial, he wanted to be an influence today and he was.

He’s done that against the manks and in Europe before, it’s all about his mindset. The fact it was a young Hearts side isn’t why he was good, he was good because he wanted to be.

Tbf, if you were out the picture fir a starting spot for next weeks Cup Final, you should be playing well especially with his ability.

I love watching him when he starts spraying passes about. We keep it far too simple normally, he’ll miss a man out with a pass and give us some directness towards the wings.

Which is the crux of the issue with him. Far too often he seems to be in a mindset where his undeniable talent is rendered useless.

£7m apparently is the price we have told Porto according to footy insider!

So knock back £14m reportedly last summer and willing to accept 50% less a year later!

    Hmmm......

Sell him. He's no interested anymore. In the handful of game we have seen young henderson this season, few could argue he has looked more up for it than ntcham. Every player should be 100% effort everytime they pull on the hoops
