First European game and it showed..

There’s a lot of raw talent there.

Sort of similar situation like with Johnston vs. the zombies. A fast guy up top, but insufficient supply of through balls. Not fault of the striker. That being said, I'd prefer to see him on the right wing.

His game is running at defenders and onto balls, yet all we done play it into his feet. The issue last night was not that Burke played up front, it was the way we played and not taking advantage of his pace.

Actually the issue was that he was up front. When we play against better teams in Europe, we are often forced deeper because we cannot keep the ball and the opposition can. So when we retrieve the ball and look for our striker, he has to be able to hold it up and Burke cannot do that, it’s just not his position.

He’s not a lone striker. (yet) needs to learn to play back to goal and hold the ball up linking up play. I’d start eddy up top... possibly even bayo depending how he’s looked in training.

I would start him. With the way the ball can bounce on that pitch, he might get a few chances with his energy and pace.

.. and that our build up play is too slow. We dont stretch the opposition enough.

I wouldnt really say we have a striker capable of holding the ball up well. Just not physical in that department.

I'd stick him out wide and bring Ed or Weah in up front.

Give wee Jamesy a rest I think his form has dipped slightly.

Can see how dangerous he’d be on the right. Hard with Forrest having a good season.
