I get the feeling he’s a bit of a home bird too. Otherwise he could probably make a fortune and have a good couple of years abroad.

 

Has the trickery to beat a man that we badly need for the right hand side imo. Love Abada but he can't skin a man to save his life and Forrest just doesn't have the legs for it now.

Can't remember Solbakken doing much defensive work against us though which is key for Ange's system.

 

I have made it clear I would like to see this happen regardless of Jota signing or not, I think he perfectly compliments what we have.

Another thing I really like about him is he seems to have that attitude which drives you mental when he’s playing against you but love when he is yours. Celtic Park was a prime examples all his antics then getting booed, a couple of minutes later he has danced through our defence and laid on a goal.

In some full games I have watched him he seems to have that ability to just move up a level and make something happen.

 

The boy is a fantastic player, let's be honest if we manage to land him he'll be a massive player for us. Pace, skill, strength, technique...he's got the lot. Actually reminds me a lot of Christiano Ronaldo in style. He'd instantly be our best winger I think if we got him.

For me, McCarthy is the one who’d be suited to go to Australia. Pace of play is not as frantic, warm weather to help reduce injury and the Australian teams would pay a pretty penny for an ex-PL player.

Even though it could be argued signing Jota on a permanent wouldn't necessarily mean we've added to the position as he was already there.

If Celtic were to pull off signing Jota and Solbakken and they were either announced days apart or together as a double....that would be such a real statement of intent that hopefully, Celtic will be doing some serious business.

If the money they are talking about is legit then you'd have to be mental not to try and get him. He has European experience, but is still young enough that he will only improve over the next couple of years, and he's already pretty good. For around £2m it's pretty much no risk as well.

So we probably won't sign him.

 

Jota, Solbakken, Maeda and Abada would be incredible depth on the wings.

 

In the clips he does look good at wrong footing his man, despite being extremely left footed..

Always like a pacey left footed winger on the right though. Reading up more on him, only 23, first caps last year for Norway. Excelling in Europe. Looks strong and a big guy as well..

Realistically speaking, who in their right minds would want take him, nevermind match or better the wages hes on here.
Forrest is a Celtic lifer. Hes going nowhere. He's 30, and looks done. Id wager not even an english championship side would be keen.

Mj is, more or less, still "unproven". The best we could hope for is a loan to a mid table spl club like Utd. Hes another 3 years to run on his contract and has done nothing yo warrant anyone being interested in a permanent transfer.

I digress. Its all on whether Jota stays or not.

He'll be on the continent come september.
