Sad if he is indeed out for the season.

Absolutely need this lad signed up on a permo. He'll pay the transfer fee back at least twice over when we sell him on.

So in other works could be actually much higher than what was quoted e.g 10-15 million.
Would make sense if that was the case, then Pete will need to renegotiate a more reasonable fee.

While those quotes are promising, I have a feeling it's only going to be another loan.

    Hope I'm wrong though.

    Great attitude..

    No brainer of the window..

I'd prefer signing him but I wouldn't be against another loan..

How long does he have left on his contract at PSG?

Why would we loan him again when we have a contractual agreement to sign him if we offer up the negotiated transfer fee?

Depends if BR/Pedro are happy with the figures, Eddy happy with the wages.

    Long way to go.

I think we’ll sign him but.

BR/PL/DD must have been happy with the figures quoted when they agreed to the future transfer fee.

Also, surely there would have been talk of wages then also, I'd have thought? although wages woudn't probably have been set at the time.

I'd think only his PSG wages and how much Celtic would cover, would've been discussed initially. I think if Celtic trigger his buyout fee, it will initiate completely fresh contract talks.

Was Samaras the last loan player we loaned who we actually ended up signing? Before Scott Bain today lol.

We'd be mental not to take up the option we have, even if it was the £7 million figure that Rodgers stated was too high.

You just won't lose money on this guy. Jordan Rhodes has went for more and couldn't lace Eddie's boots.

If we take him on loan again we run the risk of him tearing up like Dembele last year and his agent angling for a move for more money elsewhere.

At a time where we're relatively flush with cash I'd be bitterly disappointed if we didn't get this deal over the line, especially when he sounds so keen and has been nothing but professional in his loan spell.
