In that 2nd season Dembeles form was patchy. He sometimes looked uninterested against the smaller teams and was frustrating as * at times. People forget that.

And he 100% downed tools, he walked into training and kicked up * and made it clear he had until a bid accepted.

Even in his first season, in which he was superb, especially in the big matches and in Europe, he only scored in 10 from his 29 SPFL matches, scoring 17, which is a good ratio but shows that his goals came in spurts.

Of his 52 league matches, he scored in 17 of them, with no goals in 35 of them. Not even slating him just illustrating how he was a real form player and wasn't consistently great.

Aye he was a young guy, I can remember him going 10 games without a goal and then scoring like 12 in 10.

There was a reason people used to say they’d trust Griffiths more against the likes of Ross County and Dembele against the likes of Man City.

Frustrating again for palace. Missed a fairly easy header, hiding at other opportunities and another chance he probably took too long to shoot. If he had some heart he'd be a world beater

Forgot you’re not allowed to talk about players unless they are contracted to Celtic. Mental.

Should care as we have a sell on, he did well for us I hold no bad feelings, wish he had performed better in his last season though but It wasnt just him, the whole club was * that year and that lies with Lennon

Hes blaming his form on the difference in standard of the EPL and Scotland which I always think is a bit of a cunty move tbh

I never expected him to cut it in England, not unless he had a main stirker playing with him or unless he plays on the left.

He's brainless in his movement and positioning in the box and shites himself to header a ball and you can barely get him to burst into a jog. Near useless as a lone striker at that level.

The things he's good at are running with the ball, passing and moving and finishing when he gets chances to shoot but if hes playing for a team like Crystal Palace he's not going to see much of the ball up front himself when he only does good work when he's on the ball. Off the ball he offers nothing in attack or defence as he never moves and is half asleep.

Not lacking in ability but his attitude badly lets him down. Blaming the jump in standard is an absolute cop out. A proper player with a good attitude would revel in testing themselves at a higher level.

He’s a stick on for a bang average career.

Just my opinion but i think it's clear he has a bit of an attitude..

Seems to play at a slow pace and you want to kick him up the *.....when he's no at his best I mean..

    Very frustrating player..

I do think that certain players, particularly forwards, have a dependence on the type of team they play for.

Honestly think if Edouard played for an Arsenal or maybe even a Leicester type team then he’d do well.

Hooper flopped at Norwich even though we know how good a finisher he is. Then you have workhorse type strikers like Pukki who was nowhere near good enough for us but seems to thrive at Norwich.

Believe that someone like Edouard needs to play for a team that are consistently on the front foot.

Don’t get blaming the jump in standard, everyone knows there’s a difference between the two leagues. The whole point is to prove you aren’t a flat track bully and can cut it. Plenty have left us and proven they can
