Risky tactics letting it run this long but seems to be paying off. Hopefully get a good fee for him now

He’s done well but “big upgrade” is a stretch, and saying Edouard isn’t clever enough on the ball is silly.

I’m still of the opinion that I prefer having the best squad and a motivated edouard - given the riches of CL for SPL winners - gives us the best chance of that.

However, I’m realistic. Coronavirus has hit the club massively, and despite the on paper facts that we have spent what we have received, McCarthy and hart wages are a lot and take up the ajer, Ntcham and brown wages easy.

The rest of the players out vs the players in and simply we are spending more on wages than we were last season.

Edouard cost 9, and a hefty profit % we lose also - but that’s off the books now.

Would I rather have edouard than not this season? Yes. If motivated - and that’s an issue.

I fear it’s cash-in time now, and I hope / pray at least 5-7 million is made available to Ange to spend.

It’s impossible to place a value on the 10 million wasted last year on barkas and ajeti. Has crippled us. Empty shirts.

It's too late for us to reinvest the money properly so I'd rather keep.

If we got this done one the first day of the window, it would still be too late for this board to invest.

I get what he means by not being clever enough but that's only over the last 12 months. Usually has his head down and tried to take on every player in an opposition kit in recent times.

An on form Edouard is incredible though. He is completely selfless and still scores a barrel. The majority of his Celtic career he has been superb and is easily the best player in this league. Shame his head hasn't been here in so long.

Get him gone, he'd be off his rocker to let his contract run down, he'd be one hammer thrower away from missing out on millions

He should ask to play one last game against those feckers, score a few goals and then leave us with our best wishes

See if there are multiple offers and he still refuses to be sold we should bench him for the season.

We let practically every player we signed this transfer window play a farewell game or finish a Euro campaign so he should be in the squad Sunday..

If he was to stay and help us win the league, it would be worth more than the reported transfer fee we are going to get for him.

Anything north of £15m would be decent business at this stage.

We can’t let him run down his contract and leave for free. Look at that situation as a £15m loan fee for Edouard’s services for one season.

7-10 I’d keep him. 15 plus….have to agree. Albeit begrudgingly as we won’t replace him properly

EVERTON have entered the running for Odsonne Edouard as Celtic get braced for a bidding war.

But a £2.5million deal to bring Greek striker Georgios Giakoumakis to the Hoops is edging closer ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Edouard is being tracked by several clubs, but Blues boss Rafa Benitez wants the Frenchman to provide competition for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin

And Edouard has emerged as a relatively low-cost option for the Toffees.

Russian outfit Rubin Kazan and French side Bordeaux have both been alerted to his availability.

But long-term English admirers Crystal Palace and Brighton could also swoop before the window shuts.

Edouard, 23, is expected to face Rangers Ibrox on Sunday - but that could turn out to be his last Celtic appearance.

He is into the final year of his contract and the Hoops are set to cash in if they get the right offer.

Bordeaux owner Gerard Lopez is rebuilding the squad and could launch a big-money bid to lure him back to France.

Rubin Kazan are also in the mix and have the financial muscle to meet the £15m asking price

PSG, who sold Edouard to Celtic for £9m in 2018, are due up to 40 per cent of any profit made from a sale.

But the funds would give Ange Postecoglou increased spending power to bring in late reinforcements.

He is on the lookout for defenders as well as more attacking options, especially if Edouard goes.
