Not long until we know either way…

is there much movement in England at that price level?
I know there’s been the few stupid money transfers but are clubs spending on an Edouard type/price player this window?

 

Both starting or rotating up front?

Obviously. You’ve long since had a bee in your bonnet about Edouard and I find it to be completely unfounded regarding his ability.

 

It’s his opinion but it’s one of those times where actually it’s just a fact.

He was poor last season (still finished top scorer in the league), but the couple of seasons before that he was unplayable. The 2019/20 season he was unbelievable.

You’ve posted a few times about not rating Eddy and I’m baffled each time. You seriously think some fans are “embarrassed” to admit we were wrong about him? A guy who has scored more than a goal every two games. Numerous goals against the huns, big goals in Europe. Winning goals in a cup final etc.

And aside from the goals, his all round ability for the majority of his time here has been undeniable. Him and Eddy are comfortably the best strikers we’ve had since Larsson left.

 

Hope he signs a new deal, he looks nearly fully fit again which he never did after he came back from covid last season.

Last few games is the hardest I’ve ever seen him work for the team. Reckon Ange has gotten through to him but you never know if he’s playing for a move or a new contract, hopefully the latter.

 

Hope he signs a new deal. Even if he cream in his pants at the thought of leaving. He would destroy teams and give 150% to better his chances of getting good offers. Win win.

 

He's been great for us. One terrible season where everyone else was * aswell because of lennon (still managed to score 22 goals) doesn't change that.

Once again I am giving my opinion and as I said Eddy is someone whom opinion will be divided on. I don't think I am the only one who doesn't rate him.

 

If he stays this season he'll join our 100 club. He's been a great player for Celtic.

 

People can have opinions but if you think don’t think Edouard has been fantastic overall for Celtic then football really isn’t the sport for you.

I really don't know why so many seem to be taking this as a personal attack. If we all agreed with each other then the forums would just be an echo chamber and a * of a lot less interesting.

The "you don't know anything about football because you disagree with me" is easily the worst rebuttal I've heard, and I said as much in the controversial opinions thread a while back. All it does is make people afraid to speak up. For what it's worth, I wholeheartedly agree with you regarding Edouard.

 

I will be surprised if he is still here when the window closes. I’m sure someone will try their hand with a cheeky last minute bid.

I'd happy just take the 9 million for him cut our losses, at the moment he's just not worth the wages and the attitude.
