Actually that's what Moreorlessacunt did over at blue mob central before he 'decided' to stay. It's not a bad play...sign a new 'contract' and then sell. Player gets a signing on bonus and the club gets a sale. Win win for all.

I do believe it is hindering our signing of a new striker. If we knew for certain there was concrete interest in Eddie then there would be more movement in the transfer market. As it is the board have no guarantees and won’t outlay a large fee and wages if we still have him come closing of the window.

With how * he has been playing you’d need to be a daft * to buy him full stop let alone the £20 million getting bandied about

TBF for what’s available out there, and we know his ability and class, he is worth £15-20m no problem. Anyone who believes otherwise is being unfair on us as a club and the lad himself. He is looking like a sulky * but he has skills and goals in abundance when he isn’t running around with a petted lip. He will do a first class job wherever he ends up. I do believe his attitude is preventing him from a big decent move but there are average clubs in top leagues with money to spend.

    100% mate..

    His ability isn't in question..

Once he gets a move that he wants, he'll be playing like the Edouard of old..

We don't like it but the fact is, he's mentally checked out a long time ago..

We'll see him light it up for someone soon, I've zero doubts. Which is why I don't respect him and won't think fondly of him ever again..

I think it’s more to do with the fact there isn’t a barrel load of concrete bids for him, meaning if he’s not sold/bought in this window then clubs can potentially get him for free the next…

See that’s the biggest fear and the reason we all want him moved on. We will be happy to move on and so will he. The ship has sailed for the love in. I appreciate what he has given us and feel he was kept a season too long but that’s what we wanted for 10 in a row. We wanted our best players to stay for the ten and it blew up in our face. The difference in transfer money was £30-40m at the start of last season to trying to punt a huffy big * that is well worth £15-20m with a year left on his contract.

ODSONNE EDOUARD’S wage demands are putting off his Premier League fan club.

The Celtic hitman can go for around £15million and is a target for several English sides.

But the striker’s demands start at £85,000-a-week and rising as clubs look to strike a deal.

That figure was the main reason Southampton backed off from the chase last weekend and snapped up Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong instead.

Brighton have also looked closely at Edouard — with Graham Potter an admirer.

But his wages are a bit rich as they now search elsewhere for the solution to their chronic scoring problem.

But Edouard is in the last year of his contract.

Celtic won’t stand in his way if they get the right offer.

Boss Ange Postecoglou has benched him for the last three games and he could again be a sub against Hearts in the Premier Sports Cup.

Edouard, 23, has the option of running down his contract and will be free to pen a pre-contract in January.

But Celtic would rather sell their record transfer signing now as they look to rebuild the squad.

The Hoops spent £9m to land Edouard from PSG on a permanent deal in the summer of 2018 after an initial loan.

The French giants have a sell-on clause, which is believed to be as much as 40 per cent of any profit from the fee.

Postecoglou insists Celtic are “ready” to cope with Edouard’s exit — with OH Leuven’s Thomas Henry a prime target.

But the Frenchman may have to lower his expectations to get a Premier League move in this window.

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira could make a move for Edouard after he admitted he badly needed a new striker.

These wage demand figures are all conjecture from our side but if he's spurning any sales with ridiculous demands and he's intent on seeing out his contract then I'd freeze him out completely from the 1st team.

I agree. Tell him exactly that is what will happen if he doesn’t agree a deal somewhere and maybe that will get his * in gear. He’s pretty useless to us anyway.

We need Lennoxtown to be a place of optimism, hard graft and everyone pulling in the same direction. No egos dragging the rest down please.
