I thought Edouard would push on and become a better striker than Dembele but obviously last season has thrown doubt over him. He could have scored 10-15 more easily but for some reason his shooting is powder puff at times. People can claim it's his style all they want but there's no excuse for some of the poor efforts at times. A great striker will toe blast it if they think that's their best opportunity at scoring.

If it is a lack of effort then not only is he letting the club down but he's also doing himself a disservice, which although long term might not affect his career, in the here and now it definitely is. He should have some big teams interested in him but instead he finds himself still with us and not looking like getting a decent move anytime soon.

On the other hand if he slid that by with no effort people would be calling it genius. I'd much rather the keeper saved it due to being big, happened to get a hand etc. Not a soft touch. He'll come good next week though. Great having football back.

I'd say our most talented player since Larsson in terms of ability.

Which is why it's so frustrating.

Dembele was stronger too and could play up top on his own more comfortably.

But I think Edouard has a better touch, ability on the ball, better finishing and more pace.

    They're both great strikers.

A season with both would have been incredible.

I would say that accolade goes to Naka. Not much in it re technical ability. In terms of ethics, they couldn't be further apart.

A year or two ago I'd have said he'd be insane for a team like Brighton and almost immediately get picked up by a bigger team but after watching him for the last year try dribble past three players just to lose the ball every time and tamely hit the ball at the keeper in every 1v1, I could honestly see him flop big time in the EPL unless he does a serious 180 on his attitude,

He would be the only one to rival Eddie IMO and tbh I think you could make arguments either way.

Agreed on the 2nd point though.

21 million would be fantastic trouble is we won't spend it so I find it hard to get excited about fees

Anything over 20m would be * superb business. And would feel fairly confident we would see at least half if it pumped back into to he transfer budget.

Especially the inevitable meltdown from the orcs who can't get a bid over 5m euros for isosceles heid.

He's definitely worth more than Ajer, strikers always go at a bit of a premium compared to other players, but still 25m would be insane business for him with a year left on his contract, I would have expected 15-20m at best.

It might be childish as * but I laughed.

Anyway, back to Eddy, anything over 20m for a guy on the last year of his deal is pretty great business.

I hope it's true but am a bit sceptical.

Any half decent offer we should cash in, in current form he's of no use to us.

Take it and invest in another striker who actually wants to be here. I know Eddie's numbers are good but they should have been better and would have been if he could be bothered as some ga.ew it looked as if he wanted to be anywhere else
