Players come and go, seen bigger and better players than him leaving the club but you know what, Celtic are always there and always will be

Flattered to deceive for me. His goal return would have been what you would expect for a Celtic forward. Not got the stats to hand but I'd imagine he averaged around what Hooper scored a season.

Fukin frustrated me watching him. Had that moment of class but most the time he was trying the same trick and running into defenders. Similar to Sinclair when the league learned how to play against him. Just wasn't dynamic enough to change it up.

Get Jordan Larsson in. Break the bank if we have to. Give him the number 7!!!!

I loved the guy but his spell at Celtic will always be remembered for his very poor final season.

I'm sure he'll do well going forward but at one point I was sure he'd go right to the top not so sure now.

I think Jordan Larsson is out of our breaking the bank reach.

I did think Aaron Boupendza, the Gabon striker from Turkey we were linked to, looked an interesting option though.

He should rip it up down there. When you see how well guys like Calvert-Lewin, Watkins, Ings, Wilson, Bamford, Wood ect can do down there then there is no reason Edouard can’t do as well or even better.

He’ll get 40 a season down there, my nan would score 40 in that league

In all honesty i wish him well, does our reputation better if he succeeds which i’m sure he will with not having to play against packed defences.

Usually in agreement with your posts but I can't go along with this. Don't get me wrong I want him gone and have done for over a year, but he won't be remembered for his RELATIVELY poor final season.

If he goes to the ELLAND finds his form again, we will all quickly get back on board the Eddy train.

Why do we have to wait till the new manager is appointed before this deal gets signed off?

We all know Edouard is worth more than £18 million but considering the circumstances I'll take it.

Think that's harsh. Also disagree that players worked him out. He just had a stinking season because he wanted out, and we had a rotten coaching team and manager. He looked lethargic.

The previous season he was sensational.

I think he just needs a change of scenery and he'll be back to his best.

Don't wish him any ill health and hope he does well.

    * are so bitter its mental. This was inevitable and he had a team of utter * around him last season and was still the leagues top scorer.

Was his attitude at the top level? No I don't think so, but * me it's nowhere near as black and white as some people are making out.

So many factors come into play during that absolute disaster of a season. The way lennon has came out the past few days I would have * found it very tempting to down tools with that * sending me out to play every week.

I don't even think edouard did the latter. I just don't think he was helped by those around him. He could have done more overall but he's only one player in what was the worst season I've witnessed in my lifetime. Given he is our best player it's inevitable he will get the biggest pelters.

    Some minging comments in here.

Asked to be left out of crucial game's but was available for his under 21's in-between. Face tripping him all season. Was all for his self and just strutting about. Trying to take the * and flicks then just walking off when they didn't come off..

Bitter, aye probably but * him. The guy's an utter *..

If people want to remember him fondly then that's up to him, I certainly won't. No chance..

100% chucked it early in the season for me. Unforgivable..

    Joining the rat. How fitting..

If he'd done all of this in a normal season then I'd probably have more dislike towards him but last season was a write off for so many reasons.

He probably wanted away after we failed to qualify for the champions league earlier in the season and I wouldn't blame him.

I just feel like wanting his legs to be snapped is a bit OTT, personally. It was inevitable he'd leave and I'm surprised we got 4 years out of him.

Was a write off that he played his part in..

No doubt he did but that sums him up, so unprofessional that he chose to down tool's. If he'd shown his professionalism and knuckled down until he got his move 6/12 month's later then I'd be wishing him well..

    He didn't so * him..

No doubt he'll turn it on in the EPL next year, just didn't for us as he'd mentally checked out. I'll neve wish those player's well..

He has been a tremendous asset for us. Scored some huge goals for us. His quality is there for everyone to see. His first touch is incredible. His strength is underrated and his finishing and composure is what sets him apart from average strikers. The only thing that I would love to have seen more often from him was a real visual hunger. He will be badly missed and very, very hard to replace.

Definitely think, along with the other things you've mentioned, catching Covid had an affect on him. Though his attitude at times was questionable to say the least. Disappointed to only get £18m for him though, he's worth more.
